We did both Diamond Head and Manoa Falls and both were amazing. The walking sticks were clutch for the falls and our driver Matthew was great! Definitely recommend.
Diamond head was not very hard to do. A lot of inclines and an uneven surface walk. There are also stairs. Take your time and you will be fine. The view is worth it. As for Manoa falls, very rough climb up. Very rocky, muddy and slippery. Use caution. And take your time. A walking stick is a big help when when going up and coming down. Our tour driver Matthew was funny and cool.
Very amazing rain forest and waterfall, but I was not prepared for the uphill wet and muddy killer hike. Did it because I love waterfalls. Wish I had more time to enjoy the experience but with others we where only given 1.5 hrs. to accomplish round trip hike. Wish I was in better shape but also had hikes Diamond Head earlier. Maybe should not do both in one day. Our driver was a great guy and helped with walking sticks.
This was a bit harder then I was expecting. I am 73 and have a previous ankle injury. The climb was very uphill and not smooth at all and when I got to the steps (78) then 99 I had to stop, even though views where great at Diamond Head.
Our guide, Matthew Kenny, was excellent. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the sites we visited, and provided a lot of interesting information about Honolulu and Hawaii in general. The tour van was clean and comfortable and the small group size made it easy to get in and out of the Diamond Head and Manoa Falls areas. We had adequate time at each site for a relaxing self-guided hike without having to wait for other group members or hurry. Would recommend these 2 hikes and this tour guide.
There are beautiful places and perfect weather for a long hike and enjoying the stunning view. I suppose the waterfall is smaller than I imagined because of the season.
It is very crowded, narrow, and rocking on diamond head. Rainforest is very slippery. Use a walking stick.
Thank you for your feedback! You’re right—the trails around Diamond Head and the rainforest can be quite narrow and slippery, especially after rain. It can also get crowded during peak times. For our guests’ safety and comfort, we do provide walking sticks to help navigate the more challenging parts of the trail.
Lots of uphill hiking over rocky terrain. Make sure you pack enough water for the hike and use the walking sticks provided. The only downside was we went on a day when there was little rain, so the waterfall was much smaller than on most days.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re glad you were well-prepared for the uphill hike and made good use of the walking sticks provided—it’s great advice for future adventurers. We understand how the waterfall’s size can vary depending on the rainfall, and we’re sorry to hear it wasn’t at its fullest during your visit. Nature can be unpredictable, but each visit has its unique charm, and we hope you still enjoyed the beautiful surroundings along the way. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back for another hike—perhaps on a day when the waterfall is roaring!
Diamond Head trails was fun and the view on the top was beautiful. I recommend to bring enough water and small towel for your sweat. The rain forest Moana Falls was fun too. A little muddy though, so don’t wear your nice fancy sneakers. George our driver was informative, he provided us with walking/hiking stick which a big help. Five stars! I recommend this trip and company. We will book again next time.
Amazing tour!! The ride was super smooth and our drivers were super outgoing and funny! 10/10 recommend. Would go with them again!!
Thanks for your feedback! We hope that we can see you soon! Aloha!
