Harlem Tour and Spanish Gospel Mass
Description
Discover Harlem, one of Manhattan’s most iconic neighborhoods, on a Spanish tour that reveals its history, culture and enormous influence on New York art. We begin the tour of the West Side Highway appreciating the Intrepid aircraft carrier, the Trump Buildings and the Hudson River. We will visit the exteriors of the legendary Cotton Club, scene of great jazz and blues figures, and then the legendary Apollo Theater, where artists such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and the Jackson Five debuted. We will continue to Columbia University and walk through the picturesque Harlem homes to get an up-close look at its historical evolution, including the famous Mother Hale home. Then we will visit the tomb of General Ulysses S. Grant before entering a Baptist temple to live an authentic gospel Mass with its traditional chants. We will finish the tour at 59th Street in Midtown Manhattan.

This tour begins by heading to the West Side Highway in Manhattan’s West Side, where you can see the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier, the Trump Building Complex and the Hudson River, which separates the states of New York and New Jersey.
We will visit the exteriors of the Cotton Club, famous for being the scene of great jazz and blues artists
Then we will head to the legendary Apollo theater, where stars like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, the Jackson Five and Celia Cruz debuted.
The visit continues with the exteriors of the famous Columbia University.
We will walk through the picturesque houses of Harlem knowing their history very closely to understand how this neighborhood went from austerity to poverty
Approaching the famous home of Mrs. Clara McBride Hale, known as Mother Hale.
We will move to the grave of Ulysses S. Grant who was a prominent Union general in the Civil War and a key player in the victory against the Confederacy. He became the 18th president of the United States, pushing for Reconstruction and defending civil rights. He is recognized as an essential figure in the political and military history of the country.
We will enter one of the Baptist temples, where you can enjoy the traditional gospel Mass with its chants and customs
This tour ends at 59th Street (Midtown Manhattan).

A unique and very exciting experience on the Gospel and Harlem Tour in New York. Being able to learn about the history and culture of Harlem while enjoying an authentic gospel mass makes this tour truly special. The energy of the choir, the music, and the atmosphere were impressive. Additionally, the guide explained every detail in a very interesting and engaging way, helping us to better understand the historical and cultural significance of the neighborhood. The tour of Harlem was very cute, and the guide named William, and he's Uruguayan, is excellent The gospel mass seemed like a show. We were pretty disappointed.

Very good tour, recommended both x the stories tell us and for the possibility to travel several neighborhoods in the comfort of a bus. Mass is quite different from what we usually see in Catholic or Protestant countries. The guide who touched us, named Angel, knows a lot and is very pleasant. Highly recommended
