We enjoyed our recent introduction to Helsinki with Felipe. Our tour included -- among other things--several cathedrals, a market where we sampled some delicious and-- for us-- unusual local specialties, and several beautiful squares and parks. Most impressive was our visit to Helsinki's incredible public library, which every visitor to Helsinki should see. Felipe has a keen grasp of Finnish history and culture. We highly recommend him.
I’ve just spent the last 3 hours, with whom I can only described as ‘crazy Maria’ from Happy Helsinki Tours! Not only was she extremely knowledgable, with just about everything, she was a very friendly person to speak too. I can highly recommend taking the time to take a tour with Happy Helsinki Tours and if you do, ask for Maria and you won’t regret it!!
We (two adults, one teenager) had very limited time in Helsinki and wanted to see as much as we could, and so seeing all the great reviews online, booked a 3-hour cycle tour with Karri. The booking process was great - Karri was friendly and answered all our questions, and guided us through what to expect and where the tour was in relation to our hotel. The bikes were smooth and great to use, and the cycling infrastructure in Helsinki was great - we really enjoyed the tour and felt safe on the roads throughout, despite not having cycled in the city before. Karri was friendly and knowledgeable, telling us all about the history of the city and buildings, and stopping at some great spots for photo taking and refreshments! He has great energy and we had an amazing time, feeling like we had made the most of our overnight stay in the city! We would highly recommend!
Great excursion! Our guide was punctual and gave us a wonderful overview of key interest points in Helsinki. We really enjoyed every minute of a three hour tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the culture and history and had a fun way to share the information. He was also very helpful to give us further hints like what to see or where to eat later during our sty in the city.
This was the best tour I’ve ever taken - and made Helsinki the highlight of our trip. Phillipe was a terrific guide. His knowledge of the city, and especially of the history of Finland, was amazing - he made the city come alive for us. He was very accommodating, adjusting the tour for the things we most wanted to see, and took us places we wouldn’t have thought to go. When he started the tour, he said he was going to take us to the Library. My first thought was “the Library?”. But the library actually was incredible - everyone we’ve told about it wants to go! Don’t miss this tour - and ask for Philippe!
Loved the touring with Katerina. She was knowledgeable and super fun to chat with. We really enjoyed our time with her. Thank you!
What a great way to kick off a visit to Helsinki. Our private tour guide picked us up at our hotel and walked us around the city, giving us history and cultural information and letting us take some amazing photos. I would recommend you start your journey with this tour as it helped us get an understanding of the city layout and get our bearings. Really cool experience.
we had a very interesting walk with Emil ! great job ! he showed. us a. lot. of. different. places. and asked. what we want to do
We just returned from a two week trip to Finland. We didn't have much time to spend in Helsinki and decided to schedule a private walking tour for the afternoon we landed. This was a great idea as it gave us a feel for the city, hit spots we were able to check off our list in order to optimize the rest of our time there and stretched our legs after a long flight. Our guide Felipe was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. He gave us some great recommendations for restaurants and music shops. We also appreciated that even before we arrived, Happy Helsinki's email had great information and details regarding how the taxis worked at the airport and other ways to get to our hotel. I highly recommend them!
We got a very good tour through the city that took around 3h. It was stressless, adapted to our walking rhythm and very enlightening regarding the city history and its main points. We ended the tour with the feeling that there was not much more in the city to see. Our guide (Katerina) had patience, gave us time to wonder around at the locations we looked more interested at and was always ready to answer our questions. Big thumbs up to the overall experience.
