The tour of Melk Abbey was amazing. And this tour had the potential of being really great - but our guide was not experienced - he did not convey that many of the places on the tour would be closed and he didn’t provide any history of the area to us - he was solely a driver. I’ve taken many Viator tours - and usually the guides are good at adjusting when places are closed. But it still was a beautiful day in Austria.
Saw some awesome places but the guide had never been there before and didn’t speak English so we had to do a lot of research on our own to find some of the places and times for the boat. He got us to the tour of the abbey late so we missed the beginning.
