Itinerary

60 min

We can observe many landscapes from the bus that takes us from Kyoto to Mount Hiei, including the cities of Kyoto and then Otsu from mountain heights. Beautiful photos and videos in perspective!

30 min

We continue this tour of the Enryaku-ji Buddhist Temple with its gate, its East Pagoda and the Buddha Amida Pavilion. The portal serves as a separation between the human world and the spirit world. This is an opportunity for us to "really" enter these places.

30 min

The Kaidan-in pavilion stands out for the pristine and brand new red of its facade. We will be dazzled by this sparkling red that will make our memories and photos beautiful.

60 min

Enryaku-ji Auditorium is the study hall of Buddhist monks. We can visit it and feel the studious atmosphere of the place. Then we head towards the large bell of the complex next to this building. We can make it ring, hoping that our wishes will be fulfilled.

60 min

Here we are in front of the main hall, the Konpon Chudo. It is still under renovation until 2026 and it is an opportunity for us to see how a traditional Japanese building, the object of an exhibition, is being renovated. Nearby are the Hall for World Peace and the Monju-ro Gate which we will then visit.
