Make sure that there have not been drought conditions before you book. The fields were a tad underwhelming, but the trip was fun. Great guide.
Hubert was a really nice guide and great driver. We had a new van, which was also comfortable. He was also happy to take pictures of us in the lavender fields. The only difficulty was for those who sat in the back of the van not being able to hear him clearly. We did get some great stops on the tour, but there's a lot of driving on very windy roads. Tough on anyone who suffers from motion sickness. Probably better to make this a full day rather than squeezing it into a half.
Nico was the best tour guide. In addition to his knowledge of the areas we visited and all things lavender, he brought a great sense of humor and enthusiasm to the group that made this day extra special. Thank you, Nico!
The visit was very good but a little late in the season, we still got to see some fields, the explanations of distillation and lavender trade very good, and the visit to Sault was very cute.
Our guide Frederic is very nice and helpful! However, the tour date can’t be changed even with the severe weather condition (the day we visited had a thunderstorm warning), would recommend to book the trip on the travel date or few days in advance in the tourist center, price also cheaper there.
We had the best experience on the Lavender road in Sault from Avignon tour. Our tour guide, David was extremely knowledgeable about the area, also with facts about Lavender and local legends. He was funny and great with our children. He was also an excellent photographer. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour and we our so thankful for our tour guide. He added so much to the tour. We highly recommend this tour and our tour guide, David. It was a highlight of our trip!!
We had the best afternoon lavender tour with Thierry! He went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful outing and was so much fun to chat with. Lots of knowledgeable and all around such a nice person. It was a great day!
David is an excellent tour guide who gave a great introduction to lavender, Sault and Gordes. The van is with adequate air conditioning. And thanks to David who drove safely, we have enjoyed a cozy trip. Some of the lavenders have been harvested already, so I think it’d be better if we come earlier. We visited in late July.
Not sure whether this year is not a good year for lavender sightseeing, but most of the lavender fields looked kind of light purple, nothing like what you see in postcards or some of the pictures on the internet. These four pictures were taken on July 10th in Sault. As you can see, the colors are not so impressive. That being said, the tour itself is good. The only thing that I would like to change is that less time spent at the lavender distillery. Overall, it’s an efficient way to see lavender fields without a car.
Very good trip, thanks to our guide. We enjoyed all the sightseeing. Hordes lavender and mountain small town like sault
