Itinerary
Visit Bulguksa which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site for being “a masterpiece of Buddhist art in the Far East.” If you are in the temple, you will see blooming cherry blossoms in spring and colorful foliage in fall.
In the Seokguram Grotto, you can see statues of devas, bodhisattvas and disciples sculpted on the surrounding walls. After that, you will have Tteokgalbi(grilled short rib patties) for lunch.
Here you can watch the animated movie about this thousand year old Silla Kingdom. Take a look at Silla dynasty. The value of the show is on a par with a national treasure of Gyeongju.
The Daereungwon tomb has the large ancient tombs of kings and nobles of the Silla Kingdom.
Near this tomb complex, there is Chemseongdae Observatory which is the oldest surviving astronomical observatory in Asia. The name of this observatory means star-gazing tower.
Around Chemseongdae Observatory, you will see a mix of old historical buildings and newly built hanok at Gyeongju Gyochon Hanok Village. You will figure out how they used to be back in the days. There are lots of handcraft shos and cafes too.
From the tomb complex, your guide will take you to the Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond. This place is known as Anapji. You can see the most beautiful nightscape in Gyeongju. It may even give a sensational feeling of walking at night in the past during the time of Silla Dynasty. You can also hear one story behind this place from your guide.
This is the UNESCO village in Korea, you can explore the traditional Korean village
You can see the genuine relics of Shilla Kingdom in the museum

Thank you for joining our tour service and glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour with my tour guide! Hope you have good memory in Korea! Best Regards Harry
Our guide, Wookie, picked us up and returned us to our hotel. In between, we were treated to historical tales of the Silla kingdom and the birth of the unified Korean kingdom. He carefully discussed what we would be able to achieve during the day, as the list of places to visit on TripAdvisor would not all be possible during a single day. I think we chose well. Incidentally, I'm glad we chose to stay in a hotel in Gyeongju city and many tour operators recommend large hotels well outside the centre. We were easily able to see many other attractions on foot from our hotel.
hank you for joining our tour service and glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour with my tour guide! Hope you have good memory in Korea! Plus I had also really good talk with you:) Best Regards Harry
Amazing tours of the Unesco sights and colorful autumn leaves. Our tour guide & driver, Kevin, was friendly, insightful & punctual. He was able to take us to all of the places listed on our itinerary & had a delicious lunch in between. Would love to revisit the Gyeongju area again someday sans crowds.
EXCELLENT AAA+++ GUIDE Paul was very helpful, very good communication before the tour and even after, he helped us with all our expectations and exceeded them, always attentive looking for and solving doubts and needs, it was a pleasure, DO NOT HESITATE TO LOOK FOR HIM
We had a wonderful tour to Gyeongju with our guide Jay Song. She customised the tour to our needs and was a pleasure to talk to and learning the local culture from her. Overall a fantastic day out!
Kind guide. Was accommodating of children. Showed us with interest. We had a good experience. Thank you.
Visiting these historical sites was absolutely amazing. What made it the best tour ever though was having Joy as our guide. Joy brought the experience to life by providing exceptional insights, historical facts, and passion to truly understand and appreciate what we were seeing.
John was a terrific tour guide. He was flexible, knowledgeable and very personable. I would highly recommend him for your visit to Gyeongju.
Our guide, Mr. Goh, was the best guide we've had on our trip to Japan and Korea. He spoke excellent English, and was highly knowledgeable about the history of Korea, and had in-depth wisdom on Buddhism, which was very helpful on our visits to the many temples. He was also flexible, and accommodated our requests to meet our friend at a later time, and taking us to a vegetarian restaurant for lunch. We are indeed very fortunate to have had him as our guide !
