The Four Lakes scenic area refers to the water loop consisted of Mulong Lake, Gui Lake, Rong Lake, and Shan Lake that enclose the downtown Guilin. The night view of the twin pagodas Note: The day time cruise usually at 9:30am,11:00am, 13:00pm,15:00pm and 16:30pm. The Night time cruise usually at 19:25, 19:35, 20:20 and 20:40. The one/two river & four lakes cruise lasts for 1.5hrs.(One way). The Four lakes cruise lasts for one hour(Round way). During the day time cruise, if we have a English speaking driver then we will offer it, but if without it, we just offer the Chinese speaking driver for you, thank you.

A four-lakes boat tour can be done during both days and nights. However the night cruises are far better. When night falls, many lanterns and lights are lit and music fountains in the lakes start to entertain the public, making the area a lovely place to go. Taking a sightseeing boat to cruise this inner city water loop, you will get the most beautiful scenes of the night Guilin. It is one of the best things to do to in Guilin to spend your night. A Four Lakes cruise lasts approximately 1 hours for over 5 kilometers. The areas past are filled with trees, plants, meandering paths, and small pavilions. The cruise will also past performances by local people of Guilin Opera, minority songs, traditional Chinese music. Typical sightseeing boats on the Four Lakes scenic area are air-conditioned. With 360-degree cabin windows, the sightseeing boats offer exceptional visibility. 4 seats in a raw, a sightseeing boat can accommodate 80 to 100 passengers at one time. The boat time usually at 19:25, 19:35, 20:20 and 20:40. Itinerary: 18:30--19:00: Pick up at your Guilin hotel & transfer to the Riyuewan pier. 19:20--20:20: Enjoy the four lakes night cruise. 20:30--21:00: Back to your hotel at Guilin.
You will check in the night cruise boat at the opposite of the Sun and Moon Pagodas due to there has river pier we called the " Twin pagodas pier".
Your night cruise tour will depart from the Riyue Shangta Cultural park(Shan Lake) then pass the Rong Lake and Gui Lake and Molong Lake then back the same way to Shan Lake again. The Four lakes night cruise lasts for one hour.

The boat trip was very enjoyable but we were expecting the tour guide to speak English as specified on our ticket. The guide only spoke Portuguese and we were the only English speaking passengers. There was not a safety talk in English which I’m sure is illegal. We didn’t get any information about any of the sights we saw as we cruised along the river. Most disappointing and I expect an apology or refund or both from this company.

The beautiful city of Guilin is crossed by the Li River. As you pass through the city there are four lakes that remedy your waters. Well there is a beautiful night cruise that is made between them. In a small boat you will travel these and the shores and lakes will be beautifully decked with dim colored lights, which give a beautiful look to the area. You will cross its bridges and encounter depictions of scenes of life in that area of China, such as cormorant fishing or your love of music. You will see the pagodas of the Sun and Moon at the beginning (the first bronze at 41 meters is the largest in the world) and you will end up in the area where the karst mountains of the area gather and erect. This cruise you must do if or if. It is very easy to reach the jetty.
Lovely cruise around the waterways. Some unexpected entertainment along the way, including cormorant fishermen. As someone else said - do it!
The driver and the tour operator Service very good. But the activity itself is not worth the price it pays.

A wonderfully relaxing river cruise with picturesque surroundings lit wonderfully to highlight the best of the area. The dancing and music in the various pagodas and buildings really added an extra element of beauty and wonder. We even had a lady playing a traditional instrument on the boat on the way back down the river which such a delight. The cormorant show itself was interesting but we couldn’t quite tell if some of the birds were stuck to the poles or not as they flapped but didn’t really move too much :-(
Unexpected surprises during the cruise. Was very beautiful. But we had to switch boats during the experience and it wasnt very nice

This is an hour cruise through Guilin’s four lakes. It is pleasant to navigate and enjoy the purposefully lit riverside as well as little performances along the way, special mention to the cormoran fishing. The cons, it can be overcrowded, loud and a bit chaotic, but I would recomend it. I would check first whether your hotel is not too far from the pier and maybe you can walk there or grab a taxi, buy the ticket and save a lot of money along the way.
Andy met us at the hotel and took us to the boat. The boat trip was relaxing. My parents really enjoyed the night time scenery. This is something easy and relaxing to do if you have time in Guilin.
I booked this late in the day and because of the holiday I could only get the late ticket but it was really the best that way because it wasn't too crowded and I was able to get really good pictures! Andy was very helpful and so nice and made sure I got on the right boat and pointed out the walking street that I could see while waiting to board! I really recommend his trips!
