If you've chosen the self-drive option, don't worry - before you hit the road, Francesco will make sure you're comfortable with your scooter during a test drive. With your safety ensured, it's time to rev up your engine and hit the open road! You'll feel the wind in your hair as you explore the rolling hills and cobbled roads of Rome. Along the way, Francesco will guide you to hidden gems and local hotspots that you might not have discovered on your own.

10 min

As your Vespa tour through Rome's city center nears its end, Francesco will take you to your final stop: the iconic Trevi Fountain. Approaching the fountain, you will be struck by the sheer size and grandeur of the structure. The fountain is massive, with intricate carvings and sculptures that tell the story of the Roman god Oceanus and his sea horses. You will learn about the tradition of throwing a coin over your shoulder into the fountain, which is said to bring good luck and ensure that you'll return to Rome one day. You will take a moment to toss a coin into the fountain, hoping that the legend is true and that you'll have the chance to return to this beautiful city someday. As your Vespa tour will come to a close, you will reflect on the incredible journey you've had through the heart of Rome. From the stunning monuments and landmarks to the rich cultural heritage of the city, you've experienced a side of Rome that few tourists get to see.

The Spanish Steps are renowned for their picturesque beauty and are famous all over the world. As you climb each step, you will be surrounded by history and the stunning architecture of Rome. You will arrive at Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful squares in the city. The square is built on the site of the ancient Domitian stadium, and it's filled with history and culture. You will be immediately strucked by the stunning Fountain of the Four Rivers, which takes center stage in the middle of the square. The fountain was designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, one of the most famous artists in Italian history, and it's a true masterpiece of Baroque art. As you will approach the fountain, you can see the intricate details of the four figures representing the great rivers of the world - the Nile, the Danube, the Ganges, and the Rio de la Plata. Each figure is expertly crafted, and you can't help but be impressed by the artistry and skill that went into creating them. Francesco will tell you more about the history of the fountain and its significance to the city, sharing fascinating stories about Bernini.

The Castel Sant’Angelo Rome was originally built as the tomb of Roman Emperor Hadrian in 135 AD. This mausoleum was eventually converted into a military fortress that protected Rome during the Middle Ages. Since then, it has served as the Papal Residence, a prison during the Renaissance era and now, as one of Rome’s museums. Other than serving as a repository of historical information, it is a site of immense cultural value that houses many sculptures, architecture, frescoes, and more.

15 min

If you're lucky enough to book the morning tour at 12 o'clock, Francesco will take you to witness an incredible spectacle - the cannon shot on top of the Janiculum. The cannon shot is a daily tradition that dates back to the 19th century, when it was used to synchronize the clocks of the city. As you approach the Janiculum, you can feel the excitement building. Francesco explains the history of the cannon shot and its significance to the city. When the moment arrives, you hear the loud boom of the cannon, and you watch as the smoke clears to reveal a breathtaking view of Rome. From the top of the Janiculum, you can see all of the city's main monuments, from the Colosseum to the Pantheon to St. Peter's Basilica. The view is truly magnificent, and you feel like you're on top of the world. You'll never forget the feeling of standing atop the hill, looking out over the city, and feeling like you're a part of its rich history and culture.

10 min

Francesco will take you to one of the most breathtaking fountain in all of Rome - the Fontanone. Located at the top of the Janiculum hill, the Fontanone offers a panoramic view of the entire city. As you will approach the Fontanone, the beauty of the view takes your breath away. You can see the winding Tiber River, the dome of the Pantheon, and the majestic VIttoriano in the distance. Francesco will park the red Vespa, and you take a moment to soak in the view. It's truly one of the best panoramic views of Rome, and you will feel grateful to be experiencing it in such a unique way. Francesco then will offer to take a picture of you with your trusty red Vespa against the stunning backdrop of the Fontanone. You eagerly strike a pose, feeling like a true Roman as the camera clicks.

10 min

Imagine cruising through the winding streets of Trastevere on the saddle of your own vibrant red Vespa. The sun is shining down on you, casting a warm glow over the pastel-colored palaces and cobblestone roads. As you weave through the backstreets, you feel the breeze in your hair and the excitement of adventure in your heart. As you explore the neighborhood, you can't help but be awestruck by the beauty of the colorful flowers in bloom. The scent of the blossoms fills the air, and you feel like you've been transported to a romantic movie set. The locals bustle about their daily routines, but you and Francesco are in your own world, free to explore and discover. The ambiance is electric, and you feel like a true Roman as you soak up the atmosphere. By the end of your ride, you'll feel like you've truly experienced the essence of Rome. Vespa tour June 2026

This was the best thing we did in Rome. Definitely would say you need to be confident driving a scooter though. Rome traffic is something else and Franchesco puts a lot of trust and faith in you and your driving ability. Once you’re off your off. Franchesco was great very informative and knowledgable and very funny. Maybe a little more instructions would have been helpful regarding what to do if we got split up and instructions on the bike but we figured it out and had so much fun. I expected to have headsets so that we would be learning things as we went and Franchesco could keep in touch with us as we rode but hindsight it was better not having these as we stopped regularly and ment we could concentrate on the roads and everything around us. If your are a confident biker 100% I would recommend this.

My favourite tour in Italy ❤️

The best tour we have done in Italy, and we have done a wide range of them! Marco and the other driver were fantastic. We covered so much of Rome in our 2+ hours, with Marco being an amazing guide. Absolutely loved our Vespa tour and will be recommending it to anyone I know going to Rome

Private driver in Morocco

We spent 12 unforgettable days in Morocco, starting from Marrakech and arriving in Tangier. Our driver Medhi a fantastic person, helpful and very reserved. He made us discover beautiful landscapes, tried local experiences such as the production of argan oil, rose water, carpets and much more. A trip that I recommend to everyone, will be unforgettable. Go to Morocco, it will not disappoint you! Francesca

When in Rome

The weather couldn’t have been better. Clear blue skies, crisp 6 degrees and dry. Both Guys made you feel at ease straight away and we got to see many places we’d never seen before (5th time in Rome) Traffic was mayhem and you can see why most use Vespa! Truly worth every penny and such a fun way to whistle stop tour the city

Rome by scooter

We had a wonderful tour with Francisco and maximiliano! They did a fantastic job of navigating the streets of Rome, taking us to all the major sites and explaining the history! Narrow cobblestone streets. Crazy traffic, and pedestrians that dart out into the streets, our guides kept us safe secure the whole time! We would definitely do this again!

must do in Rome

Highly recommended! The driver was extremely nice and had a lot of information ready and you travel in a small group. Only the Vespa could be a bit more modern in first gear if you drive slowly the engine bucks strongly...
