A well presented history of Avignon

This tour of Avignon was an artfully presented history of the city and its importance to French history. Jaime skillfully described the architects and architectural styles of the monuments and places. We learned about the influence and impact of the Romans, Avignon papacy, the monarchy, and the French revolution on Avignon. As the tour progressed, it seemed like another layer was revealed but there was also a connection to something we discussed previously. There is a lot to learn about Avignon and I am grateful to have done this tour.

Good history lesson of Avignon.

Jamie our guide was very knowledgeable about the town. Once you get passed the thick French accent, the history lesson was great.

Great way to learn about Avignon and its history

Our guide was friendly and polite. He took time to listen to our questions and reply. He seemed interested in knowing our interests and providing information we were interested in. He managed the time extremely well and we finished within one minute of the allotted time. We learned a lot and enjoyed the tour.

Well, the tour guide...

Well, the tour guide appeared very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I had a difficult time understanding his English. It was disappointing because I think he had a lot that I could have learned.

Great half day tour.

There is so much history to know of, in the centre of Avignon. It is mind boggling to see something from a couple of centuries BC.

Walk-around in Avignon

History of Avignon was rich and interesting. The famous scientist Fabre was born in this town. It is new discovery for me.
