I had a one day very enjoyable tour around the temples of Dharamshala. Ashok is a very knowledgeable and experienced guide. The tour was well planned and adjusted to my requests.
I came to Dharamsala to visit Tibetan monastery, and I'm happy I came. My tour guide took me around Tittle Tibet, and brought me to a Stuppa, I saw Tibetan monks praying and chanting, etc.
Excellent experience! We visited most of the monasteries, the Chamundi Temple, and thoroughly enjoyed Omkar’s guided tours. He was incredibly patient and shared so many details about the locals and their customs. Thank you so much for an amazing day!
It was very easy to coordinate and plan a tour with this group. The host was communicative, flexible, and organized pick up from our hotel. Our tour guide spoke decent English. I was hoping he could provide us with history of Dharamshala and background of Tibetan Buddhism, since the tour was visiting prominent Tibetan Buddhist sites. He seemed some what knowledgeable, but his practicing religion is not Buddhism, so sometimes when he asked questions, he didn’t know the answers. He didn’t really provide a comprehensive explanation and we often had to ask questions to get him to provide information. Because his English wasn’t that great, some times his facts would contradict each other. He spoke softly at the sites and we could barely hear him, whereas in the car he would speak loudly. I’m sure he was doing his best, however, for the price we paid, I would have expected a better tour.
