Itinerary
Haga is a city district in Gothenburg, Sweden, renowned for its picturesque wooden houses, 19th century-atmosphere and cafés. Originally a working class suburb of the city with a rather bad reputation, it was gradually transformed into a popular visiting place for tourists and Gothenburgers.
Kungsportsavenyen, commonly known as Avenyn, stretches from the bridge Kungsportsbron by the canal to Götaplatsen and the Museum of Art, the City Theatre and the Concert Hall. The main boulevard is busy all day until late.
Gothenburg Cathedral is located in the center of the Swedish city of Gothenburg. It is the third cathedral on the same site. The first one was consecrated in 1633 in honor of King Gustav II Adolf, who died a year earlier in the Battle of Lützen. It is the Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Gothenburg.
Kungsportshuset is one of the city's most spectacular meeting places – with a unique location on Kungsportsplatsen in the heart of Gothenburg. The à la carte restaurant Wagners Bistro on the entrance level is a wine bistro where the menu offers a palette of flavors and a clear passion for wine.
A beautiful garden located in the heart of the city. The Garden Society of Gothenburg, Trädgårdsföreningen, is one of the best preserved 19th century parks in Europe. Here you can find thousands of roses, carpet beddings and lush woodlands. The palm house from 1878 houses exotic plants in a Mediterranean climate.

The tour was very interesting and extraordinary. We also saw interesting things and visited places that one would not easily come across as a tourist. We had a wonderful 2 hours and highly recommend it. The initial contact via WhatsApp was a bit difficult at first, but we managed everything and were able to start on time. Our guide was knowledgeable and flexible, and he also engaged with us very well.
We have used Viator in many different cities but this was unusual. Our tour guide was nice and energetic but not as knowledgeable as would be expected with Viator and was not from the area. He was a high school student and a recent immigrant.
Very knowledgeable guide. Took the tour at my pace and was able to tailor the tour to the sites I was interested in. My guide, Marco, spoke 4 languages fluently. Great way to see Gothenburg. Highly recommend.
My guide was professional and knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyable tour. Great way to see Gothenburg and your guide can tailor the tour for you.
Marko was a wonderful tour guide. He's smart, interesting, kind and knowledgeable. He brought the city of Gothenburg to life for me.
The tour of the city with Miguel was very interesting. Miguel is a punctual guide who knows how to adapt to people. He has a lot of knowledge about the history of the city. A little more: passing by the tram.
Take the tour in the daylight as you miss much of the beauty of the city. We walked around Gothenburg on our own and saw much. A beautiful city. Our tour with Marko showed us a different atmosphere of Gothenburg. It was quite beautiful to see the streets light up with Christmas lights.
Guide very knowledgeable and accommodating to our requests and needs. An enjoyable afternoon and we saw exactly what we wanted to see and experience. The guide was friendly and charming and answered all our questions.
Walking tour of Gothenburg was fast paced and informative. We walked almost 4 miles at a fast pace with no stops
Our guide (Kerstin) was passionate and knowledgeable about the city she grew up in. We requested some specific things that we wanted to do on our tour (local craft beer and typical Swedish food) and she tailored it perfectly.
