Þingvellir National Park – A UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between two continents! Explore dramatic landscapes formed by the shifting tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia. This is also the historic site of Iceland’s first parliament, founded in 930 AD. We’ll enjoy an easy and scenic walk through the rift valley, surrounded by stunning nature and fascinating history.
Geysir Geothermal Area – We will spend about one hour exploring this incredible geothermal field, home to bubbling hot springs, steaming vents, and the famous Strokkur geyser, which erupts impressively every few minutes. You’ll have time to walk around the area, take in the natural beauty, and capture amazing photos. We will also enjoy our lunch here in a nearby restaurant with views of the geothermal landscape.
Gullfoss Waterfall – Known as the “Golden Waterfall,” Gullfoss is one of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders. You’ll witness the powerful two-tiered cascade plunging into a deep canyon, creating misty rainbows on sunny days. We’ll take a walk along the viewing paths to experience the waterfall up close from different angles, and you’ll have plenty of time for photos and to enjoy the breathtaking views.
Kerid Crater – A striking volcanic crater lake with vibrant red and black slopes surrounding a deep blue pool at the bottom. We’ll take a short walk around the rim, offering amazing views and photo opportunities. You can also walk down to the water level to experience the peaceful atmosphere from inside the crater. It’s a perfect blend of geology and beauty – a true highlight of the Golden Circle.

Our driver was very friendly, very accomodating and we felt safe with his driving. However, we certainly didn't get any knowledge of Iceland from him, we may as well have just booked a taxi to take us arouind. A friend went on one recently and also go a guide in with their tour, they learned all sorts. We thought that is what we were getting but sadly that was not the case.

Please note that all of our drivers are highly experienced, professional, and safety-focused, and their primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth and secure travel experience. In-depth historical and cultural commentary is provided in our guided tour packages, which must be selected at the time of booking. Additionally, our driver informed us that during much of the tour, you and your companions were engaged in phone conversations and discussions among yourselves inside the vehicle, which also limited opportunities for interaction. We regret if there was any misunderstanding regarding the type of service booked, and we always encourage guests to contact us prior to the tour if they would like to upgrade to a guided experience. The Golden Circle is a wonderful way to see a good portion of Iceland. We liked having a private tour person so we could be on our own schedule. Unfortunately, our guide, although a nice guy, was unable to provide any information about anything we were taken to or even whilst we had lengthy times in the car. We had to even ask where we were going next and how long would it take. He just dropped us off. No information about Iceland or the places we were visiting was offered. It was nearly $1,000 US $ and much too expensive to have a guide with no knowledge of what we were seeing. Disappointing to say the least. If you can get a guide who is from Iceland who knows the area instead of a person who is not from Iceland, you will have a better experience than us.

Driver was good, drove safely and pleasant. Charge was very high and included in Golden Circle is Blue Lagoon, a 15 minute ride from the airport. yet, Viator wanted to charge us an added $180 for drop off at airport that took the drive 15 minutes extra. Outrageous.
