It’s a can’t miss experience. The travel up there going through a tunnel. Excellent driver and guide very knowledgeable. Once you’re at the Falls, this scenery is awesome.
Trip was exactly as described. Although the weather was horrible our guide was awesome and gave us a great history of the waterfall and all the surrounding areas. He was very insightful and knowledgeable about the area. Even stopped at a few "picture" worthy stops!
The view really touched me a lot. . Much much touched me than I expected. The bus driver is so friendly. Organised so well.

For me, the duration of the tour was just right—the perfect amount of time to see the highlights, learn about the area, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed or exhausted. Our guide was excellent, both funny and informative. The falls were super-impressive. However, the weather can be a little dicey so dress warmly and in layers.
The path down to the waterfall shoreline is very rocky and footing can be difficult. If time permits take the footbridge t see the falls from both sides.
It was a great excursion, super guide - Hanna. An extra photo stop was made for the cruise passengers, super view of Akureyri with 2 cruise ships on site. Recommended 👍
