We loved this tour! Our guide was exceptional! We were able to customize the day to see Stirling Castle and Loch Lomand. Barry made sure we arrived at the castle before all the crowds arrived! We had a very pleasant day seeing the Scottish countryside!
Hi Charissa. We had an easy day. Of course it was all about the ice :0) Say hello for me. I hope the rest of your vacation went well. Keep well, keep travelling and keep safe.
Pick up was easy right at the port. Vehicle was extremely comfortable and driver was as professional and friendly. Need to keep in mind the weather is unpredictable so be prepared for rain and cold winds. Stirling castle is a major historical site and must see. And it is very difficult to navigate if you have limited mobility.
Good morning Elizabeth. I am glad you were happy with our vehicle and service. I will pass on your comments to your driver. Our Viator advert does show that there can be difficulties for wheelchair users. We will ask them if they can highlight the icon . I have looked at the information we sent you prior to your excursion and I see our paragraph regarding difficulty accessing many of Scotlands ancient buildings was missing. I have now incorporated this paragraph directly into our standard reply. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your vacation. Safe travelling Regards. Barry
Excellent tour. Our trip was quite comfortable and pleasant throughout. Barry is very thorough, flexible and informative.
Hi folks . Thank you for the review. We had an easy day , wandering about the countryside with me trying to sound clever. I do not normally get a chance to start in our capital city and work back so it was a nice change. Keep well, keep travelling , keep safe.
Barry was awesome! We took our time with no pressure to adhere to a time schedule. We told him we were hungry for a fish and chips lunch, he found a restaurant near by, took us there and paid for his own lunch , even after I insisted on covering it! Told him I wanted to find a Harley Davidson store to pick up a gift for my friend. Even though it was about 20 miles out of his way, he accommodated us gladly! Great trip, great guide!
Hi Bruce. Thank you both for what was an easy day. I really appreciated the offer of lunch but the thought of you paying that amount for my fish supper made me blush :0). You both had interesting stories to tell which makes a day go by very quickly. Safe travelling home tomorrow. If you are in Scotland again give us a call .
This is one of the best excursions I have ever taken! The reasons for this statement are numerous. The tour guide, Barry, was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He made us feel well taken care of for the entire day. He had been in contact with me several times prior to date of the tour to find out about our interests and preferences. The day itself was cold & rainy due to storm Amy. We were not sure of the impact the weather might have on our day. However, by the time Barry picked us up at the cruise terminal (right on time by the way), he had carefully thought through any limitations that could be a factor due to the inclement weather. Logistics were arranged accordingly. He came to pick us up in a clean, beautiful car. He provided locally made toffee candies, bottled water, and umbrellas. From the moment we met, we knew that we were in for a special experience. We visited so many places (too numerous to mention, really). My favorites were the Inveraray Castle, especially the elaborate gardens; the beautiful little church in Luss where we learned about the history of the town from a clergyman; Loch Lomond; the cafe in Duck Bay, where my husband and I shared a delicious and reasonably- priced 3 course lunch; and the downtown area with all of the ornate ancient architecture and the Necropolis. As the day progressed, Barry showed us various other areas and provided the history along with interesting stories. He was so engaging and had such a great sense of humor - a total delight!! His driving was amazing & as we parted ways, I felt we had made a new friend. I recommend this unforgettable tour and Barry with no reservations-you’ll not be sorry!
Hi Catherine . (The boss is here and she does not allow me to use Cathy, it is always Catherine) :0) We did indeed have a good day. We stayed relatively dry , we dodged the landslides and we chatted a whole lot. Thank you all for your company ,it was a pleasure to meet you all. I was watching the marine tracker and the following day your ship appeared to be heading into some interesting weather. I hope you voyaged to Ireland unscathed :0) Keep well , keep safe and Keep travelling.
This is a very customizable experience. Berry was our driver and he arranged things on the spot for us to do and gave us a lot of local and historical information. He was very outgoing and easy to find at every location. He met us at the port in Glasgow and gave us excellent recommendations. We had a wonderful day.
Good evening Cal. Thank you for the kind review. I have been very fortunate this year to have easy going clients who let me prattle on as if I actually know what I am talking about. :0). As I say quite often, easy going clients make it an easy day for us .Your tour, was indeed, another easy day. I hope the rest of your vacation was enjoyable and if you come back this way give us a call. Keep safe, Keep well and Keep travelling. Barry. Barry was exceptional, and this tour was the best of our two-week trip to the UK. I would not hesitate to hire Barry again for any tour he offers. He is polite, knowledgeable, and a consummate gentleman. His car was comfy, clean, and stocked with drinks and snacks. He tailored the day to our preferences and kept in mind the needs of our 11-year-old and my mother. Conversations flowed easily, and we learned a lot from his stories and from his answers to our questions. He got us back to our cruise ship on time despite a FULL day touring the countryside. In short, this was The Perfect Tour.
Good morning Michael. Please say hello to the family for me. It was indeed a relaxed pleasant day, :0) Please apologise to the ladies for me. I did rabbit on a bit . I really appreciate your review. There is not much I can say except THANK YOU. If you should return to our end of the world please do not hesitate to ask for advice on transport or accommodation. Take care, keep safe, keep well and keep travelling.
Barry was amazing! Not only could we customize our itinerary, he was flexible with changing things the day of due to an injury that occurred just the day before.
Hi Mary . "Barry was amazing". I will keep that comment at the top of this years list :0) Thank you for the kind words and I hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday , in spite of the injury. Thanks to you all for an easy going day .
