Itinerary
If you have never seen a glacier before and you would like to experience these stunning ice giants a little bit closer, come to the breathtaking area of Skaftafell. Skaftafell is located in Vatnajökull national park, the filming location of movies like Batman Begins, Interstellar and the Game of Thrones series. To maximize the time spent on ice, we drive all the way to the terminus of Falljökull glacier in our 4×4 truck. Before you step on to the ice you will learn the proper way to put on and use the provided glacier gear. We aim to spend around one and a half hour on the ice, exploring moulins, crevasses and more other-wordly formations. Along the way your guide will share ineresting facts about these formations and the origins of the glacier as well as interesting local stories.

This was awesome. So beautiful and I Ike anything we have done. Jose was our guide and he was fantastic. Lovely and knowledgeable.
An amazing glacier hike! We were in a group of 5 which was a real plus as we saw several other much larger tour groups. Jose was an excellent guide. He was safety conscious, knowledgeable, informative and personable. The pace was just right and he was patient at all times, being aware of anyone in the group who was less confident. I would definitely recommend this company and tour - a wonderful experience seeing the glacier up close!
EXCELLENT. Taking the tour in a small group is a plus that is worth it. The guide was absolutely attentive to us, we had some laughs despite the bad weather, we enjoyed the experience to the fullest. To advise!
We had a great time hiking around the glacier and exploring some of the crevices. Žanet was a great guide. Group size was perfect. Would recommend
We had the morning tour on a sunny day which was great for the view. But our guide Uri also gave us a lot of information about glaciers, glaciers in Iceland, …. Every contact by mail and in person is correct and friendly. Also attention for safety. Highly recommend it.
The glacier hike was an amazing experience and our guide, Kallia, was incredible. She is extremely knowledgeable about glaciers, volcanoes, Iceland in general. She was perfect mix of educational and fun! I cannot say enough good things about the tour or Kallia!
Took the first hike of the day and with the extra small group. So glad we did as large groups were pouring in as we were ending our hike. Jose was a great guide, informative and took us all around before the large groups arrived. Very memorable and so glad we were able to do this on a great weather day.
This was a true bucket-list experience with Mikhail. He was very knowledgeable and adjusted the hike based on our ability levels (high) so we fit a lot into the three hours. Absolutely recommend!!
This was really cool and absolutely a must-do experience. We were able to drive right to the base of the glacier and spent over two hours hiking around on it, exploring crevasses, taking pictures, and learning a lot of interesting glacier info from our guide (shoutout to Mikhail who was amazing!). It was great having a small group (there were 7 of us), so we were able to spend all our time hiking instead of waiting around. Would definitely do this again!
We did the 4.5 hour glacier hike in May with Michal (not sure I spelled correctly). We were very happy with our adventure and Michal was a wonderful guide. So happy we did the longer experience so we could really get up into the glacier where the ice formations and views up close were so cool! We didn’t want to head back down. Another once in a lifetime experience in Iceland!!
