Fantastic Experience with great guidance

We had 2 boys (13 and 16) go Ghyll Scrambling, whilst they were not sure what they were letting themselves in for when they had finished they had had an absolutley brilliant time. The trip was a couple of hours as they were in a small group of 4 plus the guide (who was brilliant) they had great fun scrambling through waterfalls and jumping into small pool areas. I would highly recommend .

A don’t miss fun adventure!

We had so much fun on our scramble with John Wody (Woody)! The ghyl was gorgeous, just enough adventure (can modify depending on your comfort level), and kept us cool on a hot day. John was always attentive, helped with navigating the ghyl down to foot placement, and had wonderful tidbits of local history and stories to share. Great break between fell scramble days. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing!!!

We had an amazing time scrambling! I was really pathetic so a lot slower but Woody our instructor was brilliant and so patient. He talked through everything we were doing really clearly and was really chatty! We liked that we had a small group as there were only 5 of us. It made the experience more intimate. We will definitely be back!

Really good

We took our scout section here in may half term. The 2 instructors were so good with the kids and helped them get into the wetsuits quickly so we could get straight to the activities. The Ghyll scrambling itself was enjoyed by all the kids and all of the adults and we felt like every step was explained really well so the children knew exactly what to do and how to act. Once it got to more challenging parts it was explained nicely to the kids and those who didn’t want to carry on were allowed to stop. All in was a really good activity. We will be back when we next bring the scouts here

Family memories that will last a lifetime.

Amazing experience. We had to change last minute from rock climbing to ghyll scrambling due to weather. This process was easy and we were offered the ghyll scrambling instead. Excellent the whole way through. We were looked after throughout. Our kids had the best time and it was a family memory! The best. This company is excellent. Our instructor was so nice and had so much positive energy that we all pushed ourselves to take on the challenges and succeed. So great with families and kids. Book this if you want lifetime family memories!!! Thank you and we will be back next summer to try another challenge

Best experience of my life!!!

An amazing experience with the mobile adventure keswick at Honister ghyll scrambling organised by John. The ease of booking with two separate slots morning and afternoon. Just pay a nominal amount as deposit to book and pay fully closer to travel. Big parking space with a toilet at the seatoller car park. A detailed description with maps and wetsuits sizes are made available beforehand. Extremely through and professional. High quality wetsuits, socks, windbreakers, buoyancy jacket, helmet are provided. The best part was our guide "J" ask for him specifically. He was took good. I travelled with a kid and he was utmost careful with the kid. He gave safe areas to climb and took loads of pictures using his water resistant camera. Extremely jolly, nature friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us so many information on the flora and fauna, trees, plants... I would definitely go again Parking rate was a bit steep. But worth for the trip. Only trouble was our our tyre burst due to sharp edged rocks at the sides of the road. Again "J" was a saviour who suggested a person who reached in 40 mins and rescued us . If you want to start ghyll scrambling with kids... It's the best place. Go for mobile adventure and ask for J as a guide.

Four Go Ghyll Scrambling Outside Keswick!

Our tutor (Jennifer) was very welcoming and provided us with first rate tuition, and safety advice. As a result we all had a great fun time, that was both exhilarating but also safe. The difficulty was just about spot-on even for complete beginners like ourselves, and the equipment provided meant that we were never uncomfortable. This is a great activity for small groups, and our only suggestion would be to provide a temporary tent to change in at the end of the experience, as standing in the open in one's boxer shorts, felt a little public!
