The boat will slow down while passing the famous waterfall "The seven sister" you will be able to listen to their stories with our audio guide. it is also a great place to take amazing pictures.

Skageflå is an abandoned mountain farm above the UNESCO Geirangerfjord. If you see Skageflå farm for the first time, be it on the images on the internet or from the cruise ship in the fjord, you can´t stop scratching your head about how the hell did the people get there or how did they manage to build the houses there in the first case.

Friaren –The Suitor – lies on the opposite bank to Dei sju systre – The Seven Sisters – in the Geirangerfjord. The falls are not particularly high, but are split at the centre, revealing a rock face in a form that resembles a bottle.

Double check wheelchair accessibility before booking

The silent cruise is a fantastic, quiet and serene experience with beautiful scenery. However, we did check before booking if the boat was wheelchair accessibility. Although we were assured that it was accessible, this proved not to be the case. The ramp onto the boat did not touch the quayside and was held up on blocks which wasn't ideal for anyone but impossible for a wheelchair user. Three of the crew actually lifted the wheelchair onto the boat, with my husband in it. Whilst this was fantastic of them, it should not have been necessary. There was no access to the upper deck. Surprisingly the ramp did fit onto the quayside on the way back. As we have used many public ferries in Norway which have been wheelchair accessible, this was a disappointment on this tour.

Very good.

In addition to the audio guide, the captain provided explanations on deck and answered questions.

Troll Rock

Good weather is half the battle. The live report on the way back was very interesting and in very good English.

Unforgettable

Definitely worth going. The guide told us a lot of interesting historical things, he was interactive and cheerful. The fjord and waterfalls are unique. Very quiet engine indeed.

A Wonderful day out from Alesund

We actually took the Alesund-Geiranger-Alesund all day fjordcruise. A highlight of our trip. Entertaining commentary & interesting information by staff really helped us to enjoy the tour. We did a couple fjords on our trip but without commentary we were left curious about things we were seeing. We would highly recommend the all day tour, a couple hours in Geiranger was perfect for us but there was an opportunity to go by bus to see a couple sites from there. Our hotel was on the other side of town in Alesund but it was an easy 20min walk so not a problem at all. Weather was nice and off season trip so we had no problem moving around deck and seeing everything.
