Gdansk Guided City Cruise on Historical Polish Boat

Description
Discover Gdańsk from a water perspective on board a replica of a Polish river boat used for over 400 years. An intimate, wooden and spacious 12-seater boat will take you to places unavailable to large ships, and thanks to the low number of passengers you'll feel at ease and special. You will start the cruise from the former areas of the Gdańsk Shipyard, which once was a workplace for nearly 18,000 people and unavailable to visitors for over 170 years. Next, you'll go on a cruise on Motława - the center of the Old Town. You will see many tourist attractions, including the ruins of the Teutonic castle, water gates leading to the city, the famous wooden crane from the 15th century, charming old tenement houses and their new setting. You will follow a route that will also show you monuments and new buildings of the Ołowianka Island and the Granary Island. This trip is also a unique and only opportunity to see up close specialist vessels, Gdansk cranes.

Itinerary
The cruise starts from the post-shipyard area - from the former Imperial Shipyard, where the production of u-boats took place. And right next to the existing shipbuilding industry - characteristic Gdansk cranes, specialized ships, exclusive yachts and a unique industrial atmosphere.
Cruising along the long Motlawa river Embankment we will see the remains of the wall of the Teutonic Castle with The Swan tower, Water Gates leading to the city, including the famous Crane from 15th century, the most beautiful of the gates - the St. Mary's Gate and the oldest gate - the Green Gate.
Olowianka Island - The functional use of the island has changed over the years. At present, on the island, we will see the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, the Royal Granary, the National Maritime Museum and the of Stonemason's Bridge. Granary Island - The Green Bridge connects the main part of the old town with the Granary Island. It is not difficult to guess what was located on the island given the name(the island had a storehouse where all the goods were kept). Currently, on the Island, we will see, among others remains of old granaries, including the best preserved granary Blue Lamb and their modern incarnation (the reconstruction of the Island after the Second World War). Galley boat tour gives a different perspective on the historical value of the Main City. With us you will see unique places not available for walkers.

That was really nice and interesting. The ships were really something different and there was enough space. Equipped with blankets and umbrellas, the provider was also really well prepared. The guide was really nice and spoke good and also easily understandable English. He could tell a lot about the city. That was a really great tour!
Cool thing. Is to be recommended.
A moderately long trip along the canals. Good guide and nice reception with interesting facts about the city.
This was a fun and inexpensive way to see Gdansk from a different vantage point. They launched from Yard Cafe, which has drinks and snacks, and we took a trip through Main Town and around and back that took a little over an hour. Our skippers were funny and told us plenty of stories about history, culture, and the city along the way. Refreshing way to see new things!
Let's get the negative out of the way first - the dock is on the far side of nowhere. You'll think you've taken a wrong turn or something as you walk across a dusty parking lot. But then you see the Yard Cafe and you know (or at least you think) you're in the right spot. And you are. This trip was great. Our guide, Borna, was knowledgeable, witty, and informative. We learned a great deal about Gdansk and the sites that awaited us in our week in this spectacular city. And what to say of the captain, Marcin? I guess the best boat rides are the ones in which you don't think that you're on a boat. I mean, obviously, you're on the water, salt air in your face, but you don't feel the waves, you're not jostled to and fro, you're not bouncing up and down. And that's exactly how Marcin handled the craft. We had a smooth and comfortable ride. Thank you both for making our introduction to Gdansk memorable.
Nice calm experience with good info on the sites from Martin and steering by Danusha! A break from the noise of the town. About 15-20 minute walk to yard cafe meeting point where there are drinks and a bit of food.
Thank you, Alison, for sharing your enjoyable experience on the cruise! We're thrilled that the peaceful atmosphere and informative guidance made it a relaxing break during your time in Gdańsk. Hope to see you again! Galar Gdański

We stayed in Anemoessa apartment on Tilos for 9 days in May 2026. The apartment was well equipped and had a large terrace with a stunning view. The host was nice and welcoming. The apartment was washed every day by a nice and clever lady. We were very pleased with the stay.
Takk for den flotte tilbakemeldingen, Anemoessa høres ut som en fantastisk opplevelse! 😊 Vi gleder oss over at du verdsatte både utsikten og servicen. Kom gjerne tilbake for flere flotte opplevelser!
