Walking tour through the bustling markets and historical squares of the city centre of Catania to taste the best street food of the city. To visit Catania without savoring the amazing street food available at all hours, from dawn to night, would mean not to have a true vision of the city. The street food of Catania has a true cult following. The city is now a must for all gourmets and food lovers. You also have the option to choose the evening tour, departing at 5:00 PM. The tour begins with a visit to the Benedictine Monastery, followed by an aperitif featuring horse meat and wine at sunset in the historic setting of Ursino Castle before reaching Piazza Duomo to enjoy the traditional arancino. Finally, the sweet part of the tour will take you through a selection of Sicilian pastry delicacies, including the famous ricotta cannolo, cassatella, and almond paste during the winter months, or refreshing Sicilian granita during the summer months.

We had a great time exploring the city and eating the food of Catania. Everything was delicious and our guide was great. She even had perfect suggestions on where we should go after the tour. Bring a bottle of water though as beverages aren’t offered at most stops.

The experience was very pleasant, I knew all the most important cities of Sicily, except Catania, I must say that the city left me with a bitter taste in my mouth as it was very dirty, the others nearby very interesting and pleasant to visit.

We didn’t get to take the tour because we didn’t have phone service to cancel within 24 hours and once the request was sent, it was denied.
Thank you for your message. However, we would like to clarify that a review is meant to be feedback on a service that was actually experienced. In this case, since the tour was not taken, it does not qualify as a review. We have already explained privately the reasons for not agreeing to a refund. we were only informed about the cancellation 3 hours before the tour, after we had already prepared everything for your group. We had paid the guide in full and purchased all the food in advance. Your booking was for 12 people and the group was nearly private, which caused us a significant economic loss due to this inconvenience that was not caused by us. Kind regards.
