First visit this typical Sicilian Village where some scenes of the Godfather were played
Our Licensed native English speaking will meet you at 10.00 AM in the lobby of Your accommodation in Taormina, Giardini Naxos or Letojanni. After 20 minutes driving with 8 seats air-conditioned minivan you will reach Forza D’Agrò, a real and authentic small Sicilian village. Take a Walking tour of the old town and visit the places where The Godfather movie was played. After a Walking tour of the village with explanation of Sicilian authentic culture and way of leaving You will drive towards Savoca, the second Sicilian small village where the movie was played. The famous Bar Vitelli where Michael Corleone met the father of his future wife Apollonia. Then walk 5 minutes to reach Saint Lucy Church where they got married. While taking the walking tour Your Guide will introduce you the real history of Sicilian Mafia, how it grows up and spread very fast all around Italy. You will listen about the real structure (cupola), about its Boss and about the Mafia clan wars to control the territory. You will discover how 2 Sicilian Officers (Falcone and Borsellino) thanks also to some “Mafia repented men”, were very near to discover the truth about Mafia and its collusion with Italian politicians. You will know how it really ended up with them. After the Walking tour you will stop in a nice elegant food venue. Here you will be served a typical Home-Made Sicilian Plate of Pasta and a Glass of red wine while enjoying authentic panoramic views of town. After light lunch in 30 minutes driving You will be dropped off in your accommodation. Expected return is around 15.00.

The Godfather vs. Mafia excursion was nothing short of amazing! Our tour guide, Valerio was very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. He did an excellent job of juxtaposing the theme of the movie with the real life violent history of the mafia family from Sicily. The tour was enjoyable and the pasta lunch was delicious!! I most definitely recommend this tour when visiting Messina!
It was such a fun and interesting tour. We were a group of 6 adults and we all really enjoyed the day! From the beautiful scenery, the small towns that we visited, the wonderful lunch, the host of the cafe Giovanni and our guide Giuseppe, it was great tour! Giuseppe was so friendly and knowledgeable! I would definitely recommend this tour! Thank you Giuseppe for a wonderful day!
Daniele was very nice and gave a decent tour. Please note that you will go on some very scary rides up two separate mountains. The vistas were amazing and the lunch was tasty. I felt like it was a little expensive for what you get, but all in all it was a good excursion.

Very helpful from the start to the finish. Loved every minute. Always wanted to do this trip and Carlos our guide did not disapoint us!! We were 4 of us and joined by 4 others. So entertaining and knowledgable. I would certainly recomend the trip and ceratinley if you could get the same guide you will not be dissapointed!
Carlos was fantastic with knowledge and humor. Lots of facts about the movies and the real mafia in Sicily. Delicious authentic lunch afterwards. Definitely a really good experience.

Our guide, Orazio, was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He pointed out the important locations from the movie, and explained in detail how some scenes were actually spliced from two different towns. One example was the exterior of one house, but in the movie the interior was somewhere completely different. We enjoyed the pasta lunch, complete with bruschetta and dessert, and, of course, wine. The other people with us were also very nice, and it was a very pleasant day over all. For my husband, it was a major highlight of our whole trip. We will be watching all three movies again when we get home.
Wonderful Godfather tour with delicious lunch! Antonio is a knowledgeable guide who shared his love of the Godfather movies, Sicily & its history. We enjoyed all the places we stopped as the area is so beautiful!
The amazing scenery and views that you experience on this trip are incredible. It would have been good to hear from the guide a bit more about the places we visited. We felt that our guide was distracted at times which had an impact on our experience. We also heard from other people who went on this trip that they visited the house Micheal lived in we only visited the two churches? That were used in the film.
