Sit back and enjoy the scenery and the experience as we take care of the driving in one of our comfortable and spacious Mercedes Benz 12, 15 or 17-seater vehicles. We will visit and taste wines at the cellars of 2 West Auckland vineyards including a delicious 3-course vineyard lunch and a complimentary wine, beer or juice. Assemble a group of a minimum of 10 Adults and make this a day to sip, savour and remember and let us personally guide and drive you around the Kumeu Wine Trail. Our tour will visit 2 of the finest vineyards, steeped in history, from the Wineries Out West. You will get the opportunity, amongst others, to taste award winning Sparkling Muscat, Rose, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Albarino, Montepulciano, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a small group tour for that intimate and personal experience guided by a knowledgeable guide who will handle the logistics and navigation.

The Hunting Lodge is a winery based in the heart of Auckland’s Wine Country with a rich heritage and a youthful spirit. It is the place where the Spence brothers, founders of the Matua Vineyard, created the first New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Driven to do things a little differently and keep the spirit of innovation alive, The Hunting Lodge wine range not only showcases the best wine regions in the country but also captures the spirit of New Zealand’s pioneering nature in wine – the search for something new and interesting. They also have a slightly unconventional contemporary style in terms of packaging and design. Each illustration that makes up the label represents a certain aspect of their site and winemaking process.
Over 80 years ago, the first delicate grapevine was planted in a West Auckland field. That grapevine grew into the Soljan family winery that is still standing today .In fact, very few wineries in New Zealand can claim to have a prouder winemaking heritage than Soljans. They are the third oldest winery in New Zealand that is still owned and operated by the original family. Five continuous generations have been involved in wine making. This is our lunch stop for a delicious 3 course vineyard lunch with a glass of wine, of your choosing, included in our tour price.

8 of us did the West Auckland wine tasting tour - highly recommended. Each vineyard provided lots of information on their wines and provided a good selection to taste. The lunch at Soljans was delicious. A shout out to Gary at Westbrook and Matt our driver for lots of fun and laughter.

You would have loved the visit to the 4 vineyards (3 for tasting) and one for a fine-dining lunch. This is a real opportunity to learn the art of tasting wine, the history of the vineyards that we visit but also getting you outside your comfort zone tasting wines that you may not have heard of before, let alone taste. Is there any better way to spend 6 Hours in Auckland that on our Wine Tasting and 3-course vineyard lunch tour. You experienced that first hand. I chose this wine tour because I thought it was very good value for money. You get picked up in the city centre and dropped off there again at the end of the day. The lunch that is included was superb. A full size main and dessert, which were both excellent.

Loved you photo. Isn't our Wine Tasting + Vineyard Lunch tour a magical experience. Not only is there the large variety of wine tasting that you mention, but also you learn the art of tasting wine, the history of all these vineyards and equally the different types of wine that we taste. This is the perfect day just to get a group of friends together and let one of our knowledgeable tour guides take care of all the little details. Add in a 3-course fine dining Vineyard lunch and you have the perfect recipe for a fantastic time that you mention. Highly highly recommended this is a must do. Even if you have never tried wine before like myself this was an amazing experience I took my mother, mother in law and aunty out for an early mother's day gift and couldn't have been more happier. What a great way to celebrate a birthday. The drive to the vineyards took us by a forest and some country bucolic scenery. Our guide was very helpful and informative. The staff at the wineries explained the subtleties of their various wines and how to pair the wine with various foods. Thank you to all involved. The Hunting Lodge wine was so delicious! Wonderful day tasting wine in Kumeu with Dave as our tour guide. We went to three different wineries with a beautiful three course lunch at Soljans. The whole day was perfectly organised, Dave was very knowledgeable of the local wines and everything was delicious. I highly recommend this tour and would love to do it again.
