Begin your adventure with an open 4x4 safari in Schotia Private Game Reserve, where you’ll have the best chance to see the Big 5—Elephants, Lions, Buffalo, Black Rhinos, and Leopards—in their natural habitat. Schotia was the first reserve in the Cape Province to have free-roaming Lions, and sightings of these majestic predators are almost guaranteed on every game drive. After exploring Schotia’s wilderness, enjoy a traditional South African homemade style lunch at nearby farmstall. In the afternoon, embark on a guided Giraffe Tracking walk at a nearby private reserve, led by expert local guides. This on-foot experience provides a rare and intimate opportunity to observe these gentle giants up close and appreciate their grace in the wild.

We spend the morning scouting the thickest for the Big 5 Wildlife, there are many more species to be seen on this Private Reserve, a real Wildlife paradise!
For lunch we treat you to a Traditional South African BBQ lunch at Schotia's LAPA, before we depart to another Reserve for the afternoon to experience a Giraffe Walk safari on foot, to view these majestic animals.

Pick ups take place between 08h00 and 08h30 in the morning. Or 09h00 from SCHOTIA SAFARIS itself. A member of our team will contact you the day before via WhatsApp. Extra transfer costs for pick ups outside our In Zone Pickup Location. LOOK OUT FOR ZASENDLE ADVENTURES ON ARRIVAL. WARNING!!!! When participating in an open 4x4 safari, it's important to be prepared for a range of weather conditions, including wind, cold, heat, dust, rain, and bumpy roads. Although we strive to ensure your comfort, certain aspects remain beyond our control. Transfers also occur in these open vehicles. All open 4x4 safari vehicle's have canvas side covers that will be closed during transfer for a more comfortable ride. Guests need to dress appropriately for the anticipated weather conditions to ensure a comfortable experience during the safari. This policy indicates that during a safari, in the event of bad weather, such as heavy rain, the tour will continue as long as at least one participant wishes to proceed. To end the safari early and return, all participants must collectively agree to do so. Note that there won't be any refunds if the safari is cut short due to participant requests to cut safari short.

This was one of our favorite tours! Allen was our guide, and he was very informative and made sure that we saw every animal in the reserve. We highly recommend him to anyone wanting to see wild animals in a huge reserve.

It was nice to meet the lion so many times. It was inspiring to see so many animals such as a rhinoceros father and son, elephants eating, wildebeest, antelope and zebra living in nature. The Giraffe Walk was too bad to get out of the car due to a severe thunderstorm.

Not to be missed - exceptional unforgettable experience, our guide (Pierre) was super knowledgeable and had a great deal of respect for all the animals. Personal service, nothing was too much trouble.

Guide on time on site, tour as booked. Definitely a cheap alternative for cruise guests. Park just an hour's drive away.

Communication with the company before and after booking was excellent. There were 6 of us (3 couples) on this trip off the same cruise ship - We were met on the dockside and we had a really excellent day - The drive to game park was good and the safari vehicle was excellent one of the best we've come across. My initial reaction's were 1) Not may other vehicles around 2) quite lot of driving without seeing anything BUT this view changed Yes it was lovely not to have loads of other vehicles rushing around in fact we only came across a maximum of 3 any time and that was only once the rest of the time it was just our vehicle which was really good . However there might haver been a bit of driving BUT everytime we came to a spot where it was hoped we would see something we did EVERY TIME - In fact we saw everything we had hoped to see even the Lions - This park is so well managed and cared for it was an absolute delight to visit it - With our Guides / Drivers Dino and Pierre we couldn't have asked for better company - They were extremely knowledgeable and good fun to be with - There aim was to ensure we had a great time and saw everything we wanted to which we did - I would thoroughly recommend them to any travellers wanting a safari visit - After a nice lunch the walk with the Giraffe's was a bit disappointing as we didn't see that much but as we had seen them fairly close umping the morning it didn't detract from the day at all - But just to be walking in an area where they were was a nice feeling As I've said couldn't recommend the company highly enough

The safari was fine. The rancher made an effort to make sure we could see a lot of animals. According to the description, water bottles should be handed, which was not the case. That's why we didn't have anything to drink. Not pretty. Unfortunately, there was also no announced BBQ. We were fobbed off in a rest house with a burger. I don't think that can be true. Had a tour with Bakadi Dreams today. Everything was at its finest and all promises were kept.

This was the best tour we did in South Africa. Our tour guide was wonderful. He worked really hard to make sure that we saw all of the large animals, and we even saw lions stalking giraffes. We had a great lunch, learned a lot about South Africa, and our guide went out of his way to make sure we saw elephants.

It was a very enjoyable tour. I am happy to see so many animals. The guide used his telephoto camera to take professional-looking animal photos and send them to me. The safari car also had a soft and comfortable seat. The only regret was that I couldn't see the elephant. This is the only thing I can do...!
