The Ring of Kerry tour was amazing. Our guide, David, made it so interesting with all the facts and jokes along the way. Loved the local tips too — we went to the Celtic Steps show on his recommendation and it was hands down the best part of our Ireland trip!
David O’Neill, our driver/guide, was exceptional in so many ways. Mr. O’Neill educated and entertained us all with his vast knowledge and love for the beautiful mountains and lakes. Storytelling was only one of his many talents. One of his many stories was accompanied by David singing a beautiful ballad, in his wonderful Irish tenor voice, about a tale of true love and tragedy. After the last note was uttered, there was not a dry eye to be found. His concern for everyone’s safety was always present. The highlight of our journey was the sheep herding exhibit. Seeing and experiencing the fabulous talents of the herder and his very talented Border Collies was the “icing on the cake”. If you gave the opportunity to take this tour, please take advantage of the experience. It was a day WELL SPENT.
John was a fantastic driver and tour guide. Gave us adequate time at each stop and had fun facts, stories, and jokes to keep us occupied on the ride. The scenery was breathtaking and we thoroughly enjoyed the sheep dog display
We had Michael Enright as a private tour guide for eight (8) days. He was the best and my family and I had a wonderful time
John O’Neil was our guide. Pretty informative (altho the microphone kept changing volume ) as if he wasn’t speaking into the mic properly. Maybe we were naive but the first two stops were gimmicky and tourist traps - we had to pay an additional €8 for a bog village (not worth it) and €8 for a sheepdog herding trials (we opted out). Our guide was less than enthusiastic and didn’t really engage with us. Lovely views, he was a good driver. Wish we could have paid extra €10 and skip the tourist traps.
David O'Neill was warm and entertaining, and made the entire experience memorable for my family traveling through Ireland. Highly recommend!!
The tour started in a timely manner. The driver and tour guide were both great and very witty. Bring cash, it is helpful at some of the stops. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
The tour was amazing, there are so many stunning views at every part of the tour. What made it even more amazing are all the stories and history told by the guide Johnny, it seems like he knows history of every house and every place along the tour and he tells them in a fun and exciting way, not just as a boring list of facts, but in a way that keeps you interested the whole time and with a great sense of humor.
