Full Day Private Tour from Avignon

We had an amazing experience with this tour from start to finish. The planning and communication leading up to the tour were exceptional—everything was organized perfectly, all of our questions were answered promptly, and the entire process was seamless and stress-free. Our guide, Richard, was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history, culture, and beauty of Provence. Throughout the day, we visited so many stunning places, and the interesting insights and local recommendations made the experience even more special. The tour was well-paced, allowing us to fully appreciate each stop without ever feeling rushed. We truly had a wonderful and memorable time. The professionalism, attention to detail, and outstanding service exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an unforgettable way to explore Provence.

My husband and I booked a private tour of Provence from Avignon with David. He was extremely helpful and made the process seamless. Then, he introduced us to our tour guide, Richard, who designed a beautiful day in Provence for us. Richard was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and we spent a wonderful time visiting the markets of St Rémy, the psychiatric hospital where Vincent Van Gogh stayed, the rugged hill town of Les Baux de Provence, amongst other things. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would go again if back in Provence. A must do when in the region!

We saw and learned so much during our visit to the Provence area. Richard was so willing to share all his knowledge and stories and it added so much to our wonderful experience. We packed so much in to our few days and Richard’s knowledge of the area and how to get there as well as finding parking made the experiences so easy and fun. We enjoyed everything we saw and wished we had more time to follow up on other suggestions he made. We made memories having relaxed and tasty lunches which many times were thanks to Richard’s suggestions. Richard’s easy going style worked so well with ours. He likes to laugh and so do we. This was a wonderful experience.

Had a great private excursion with Richard exploring the region around Avignon. He put together an diverse itinerary that provided memorable experiences including a wine tasting, exploring several small towns and villages and a delicious lunch next to the river in Fontaine-de-Valcluse. Richard was very knowledgeable of the area and provided many valuable insights on the sights we visited. I really appreciate the work that David and Richard do to promote the Provence area and I look forward to working with them again in the future.

Richard was the perfect host to provide a custom tour of beautiful and historic sites in the Avignon and Provence area. He has a vast knowledge of the sites and truly informs the experience. We covered a lot of area but he was always mindful of our needs and desires. We hated for the day to end!!

We spent two days touring the countryside with Richard and we CANNOT BE HAPPIER! We booked directly with the operator, David, who is super friendly, and the process was very smooth, communication - great, and the experience - not pushy at all! Our tour guide, Richard, was very attentive to our preferences and designed the tours that were amazing and showed us exactly what we wanted to see and more!! We were running behind the schedule because we wanted to spend more time at the places, and Richard stayed with us and even extended our tour time, so we did not miss anything!! He even came to pick us up and dropped us off at Aix-en-Provence that is more than 1 hour from Avignon, the agency is VERY accommodating! Richard’s lively personality, expansive history knowledge, sense of humor and culinary taste (the restaurants recommendations were fabulous) are everything you want in a guide and a person you share a tour experience and a car ride with! Did I mention he is an EXCELLENT driver?! We travel a lot and always book private tours. This was one of the best experiences ever! Highly HIGHLY recommend. Cannot wait to return and tour again with Richard when lavender blooms. My only wish is if Richard could make lavender bloom in early April. 😂

I used Imagine Tours for a day excursion through Provence. Our experience was amazing from start to finish, with regular communication leading up to our day trip. Our guide, Richard, exceeded any expectations we could have dreamed of. His goal was to show us as much as he could from our desired "wish list" and added in elements in each location, like lunch along the river in Fontaine de Vaucluse and a quick visit to the hospital in St. Rémy de Provence, just to name a few. Richard shared history, local insight, and his humor and personality made it an even more enjoyable day. It was a wonderful and enjoyable day, and I know I will likely book again in the future and recommend to other family and friends.

Our 7 day tour of Provence and Occitania was outstanding. Of all the many guided tours we have taken, Richard was the best guide we have ever had. He was an enormous help in planning our time in Provence and Occitania. For the tour itself, he was prompt, energetic, knowledgeable, and pleasant to be with. We felt we saw everything on our list and beyond. His sense of humor and positive attitude kept us going on the longer and more tiring days. He consistently made the touring easy for us, dropping us off at our B & B when we moved from Avignon to Arles. In every city and village, he knew where to park, the best places to eat, exactly what to see. His knowledge of history and local culture was extremely useful touring the museums and historic sites. We found Imagine Tours easy to work with and the pricing fair, especially considering the intensity of our planned tours.

We did a fair amount of research for full day tours around Avignon and were fortunate to stumble on Imagine Tours. My wife and I wanted to visit a castle, wine tasting and see the lavender fields and David was on top of it. Richard picked us up at our hotel right on time and took us to Tarascon Castle. From there, we went to Les Baux de Provence and had lunch, to a winery in Chateuneuf des Papes, to the village of Gordes, to the lavandin fields outside of the Abbey, then back to Gordes and finally back to Avignon. It was a fantastic day and we could not have picked a better guide than Richard. He was so easy going, knowledgeable, and fun! Great driver, too! We will hire him again when we come back for more than 2 nights. The prices are unbeatable also! Highly recommend!!
