This temple is considered as the most beautiful buddhist temple in Korea, which is located right next to the sea. So it make great view with sea in Korean Traditional Temple Building!
Gamcheon cultural village has its own special beauty of the town, It is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname "Machu Picchu of Busan." Many alleys that cut through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents.
Busan Tower is a symbol of Busan that stands proudly 69 m above sea level at a height of 120 m. The top of the tower is modeled after the baldaquin of Dabotap Pagoda in Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju. Loved by Busan citizens and tourists alike, the tower offers a stunning night view and plenty to see, such as the Statue of the Great Admiral Yi Sun-sin, the Bell of the Citizens, a flower clock and a bust of the Busan-based independent activist, Baeksan An Hee-je.
Having been remade into a cultural tourist attraction promoting the advancement of Korea’s film industry, BIFF Square has contributed to Busan’s newfound status as an international cultural tourist city. The 428 meter-long street stretching from the Buyeong Theater in Nampo-dong to the overpass in Chungmu-dong was divided into “Star Street” and “Festival Street,” and on the eve of the festival each year the “BIFF Square Ground Opening” is held on the street. During the ceremony, events such as the hand printing of famous movie celebrities and Nunggot Jeomdeung (snow-flower lighting) take place. A district such as BIFF Square, crowded with first-run theaters in a city is rare not only in Asia but Europe as well, and for this reason it holds great potential. In recent years, the square has grown into a more complex area, featuring not only movie theaters but also shops and leisure facilities, attracting growing numbers of young visitors and tourists.
Jagalchi Market, located on the shoreside road in Busan's Jung-gu, is Korea's largest seafood market, selling both live and dried fish. After the Korean War, the market solidified itself as a fish market. Most of the people who sell fish are women, so the vendors here are called Jagalchi Ajumma, "ajumma" meaning middle-aged or married woman in Korean. This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country. Visitors can eat fresh raw fish right at the market. Even nowadays visitors can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and whale meat on wooden boxes along the road outside of the market and along the shore.
Following the Korean War, refugees who fled to Busan set up stalls in order to make a living, and this was the beginning of the Gukje Market (gukje meaning "international" in Korean). The Gukje Market is one of Korea’s largest markets; each alleyway is crowded with stalls, and it connects to Bupyeong Market, Kkangtong Market, and other smaller markets. The market stocks such a wide variety of goods, that you can find almost everything you need right here.
Designated as a Busan monument, along with Oryukdo Island, Taejongdae represents Busan, and is especially famous for its rock beach. Featuring its highest peak at 250 meters, there are forests of pine trees and 200 other varieties of trees. Taejongdae was named after the 29th king of the Silla Kingdom (57 BC-AD 935), King Taejong Mu-Yeol (604-661). King Taejong traveled to many places but this was the place he enjoyed shooting arrows the most. Under the lighthouse of this resort is a rock called Sinseon Rock, named after the myth that gods and goddesses came down here to relax. At this rock is a figure called Mangbuseok, named after the story of a woman who waited for her husband who had been taken to Japan. Taejongdae is also famous for the ritual of praying for rain, performed when there are droughts, and rain on the 10th day of the fifth lunar month is called the "Taejong Rain." On days with clear skies you can see Japan’s Tsushima Island from the observatory.
Haeundae Beach is the most famous beach in Busan. The white sand beach is roughly 1.5 k m long, over a 30-50 m wide area, creating a beautiful coastline before a shallow bay, making Haeundae Beach perfect for swimming. People flock to Haeundae Beach every summer. All kinds of accommodations from luxury hotels to private guesthouses have developed in the area around the beach, making this the perfect summer vacation spot. Haeundae Beach is also famous for various cultural events and festivals held throughout the year. Other facilities in the area include Dongbaek Island, Busan Aquarium, a yachting dock, BEXCO, driving courses and more.
The Shinsegae Centum City Department Store is registered in the Guinness World Records as the largest shopping complex in the world. The department store has a countless number of items all under one roof. Visitors can also enjoy numerous entertainment options in the complex. Shinsegae, which opened the first department store in Korea, reflects decades of retail experience in this flagship location. Some of the various entertainment facilities available include a spa and an ice rink. Globally renowned experts such as Italian architect Claudio Silvestrin and an American architecture and design firm Callison completed Centum City under the concept of a “golden sea”. The department store has emerged as a defining landmark in Busan.

We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, Julia. As a Busan native, she brought a genuine local perspective to our trip and shared insights that made our experience much more meaningful and authentic. Julia was incredibly responsive, responsible, and easy-going throughout our time together. She was flexible with our plans, listened carefully to our requests, and tailored the itinerary to suit our interests. Nothing ever felt rushed, and she always made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. One of the highlights was her fantastic local food recommendations. Thanks to her local knowledge, we enjoyed some excellent Busan specialties and hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. Warm, friendly, and professional, Julia made exploring Busan both enjoyable and effortless. Her passion for her hometown truly shines through, and it made a big difference to our experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Busan and looking for a knowledgeable, accommodating, and personable guide. Thank you, Julia, for making our trip so memorable!

Luke was our guide for our tour of Busan, and we couldn't have been happier. He was informative, prepared and friendly throughout our experience, but perhaps most impressively, he was adaptable to the conditions of our day. It was rainy during the first day of our tour, and instead of just forcing the planned itinerary (or cancelling altogether), he came up with a handful of alternative options that ended up being some of the highlights of our trip. If you have a chance to see Busan with Luke, you won't regret it! (Also, ask him to show you his favorite Korean BBQ spot in Haeundae for dinner!)

We took a group full day Busan highlight tour with Here Korea and tour guide Jay Song. Here Korea is an extremely accommodating travel agency and promptly returned my requests for private and group tours using WhatsApp. My travel plans changed and they allowed me to pivot to different plans and different days. That meant i could fully experience the trip despite unexpected changes. I do appreciated their flexibility. They did this with professionalism and good humor. The tours were so organized, well planned , kept on schedule and an educational experience in so many ways: cultural, historical, and entertaining too. Jay Song was our female guide in Busan. She was like an “energizer bunny” keeping us going to our Busan highlight stops. But she knew when to give us potty breaks, or snack breaks and dropped us off at sights while she parked to save our energy levels. She took us to hidden gems when she could fit them into the day. She also worked well past the 8 hour day. She was pleasant, interesting person with great educational background and spoke great english. She provided additional insights into the places we visited made the tour more meaningful and memorable. I recommend asking for Jay who us a Nusan native.

Our recent tour in Busan was absolutely wonderful, thanks to our amazing guide, Kay. From start to finish, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly flexible in accommodating our needs throughout the day. Creating a great tour experience takes preparation and collaboration, and Kay truly excelled at both. Leading up to the day, she worked closely with us to understand our interests and helped design an itinerary that perfectly balanced sightseeing, local culture, and a few hidden gems we wouldn’t have found on our own. On the day of the tour, Kay’s easygoing personality and thoughtful approach made everything flow seamlessly. She adjusted plans on the spot when needed and made sure we were comfortable and engaged. We left Busan with wonderful memories, a deeper appreciation for the city, and gratitude for such a well-organized and personalized experience. Highly recommend booking a tour with Kay — she made our time in Busan unforgettable! Hopefully will see her again on our next trip to Busan.
