Terrible experience with this tour.Broken bus with no aero conditions,Stuck with no English spiking guide for most of tour
Sied the host is a brillient man, a gentalman. He was very kind, polite and made sure my son and I were looked after. I definitely recommend asking for him as your host to Ciro. Mohamed the professor was our tour guide around Giza, Pyramids, Sphinx and he was full of grate information...a attentive and kind man.
Long trip. Good bus with AC. The trip was okay. Stopped at some kind of checkpoint where everyone got off. No prior information of the guide about why we stopped. Were told it was about safety for the tourists. Convoy to Cairo. Nice tour of the Egyptian Museum and on the boat on the Nile. The lunch stop felt more like a feeding than a stop for good food. Messy, noisy and unprofessional. On to Giza which was the highlight of the day. Me time to look around. On to a perfume factory. Placed at a table, “free coffee, Tea or water”. Lots of scents were laid out and it felt like forced purchase for many. We chose to walk away. Homeward, alone in the bus, no convoy on the way home. Unplanned stops where passengers had to change buses in the middle of the night. The driver also made some private stops for deliveries to private individuals waiting along the road. The guide jumped off at a stop and disappeared. Home 00.30
A little long the bus because there is about 5 hours of travel with stops ..watch out for the gas station with 3 guys who collect 3 euros compulsory to go to the toilet.... The pyramids and the magnificent sphinx... The museum not bad and interesting perfumes and papyrus but exorbitant prices still I find.....but on the other hand the goal is to make you buy... The restaurant in the middle of the day really average because a lot of people and noises .. but overall nice activity to see the pyramids....
It was good and I recommend. A long bus ride but worth it. Eygpt museum was very interesting, pyramids were great. It would of been nice to have a bit more free time to look around, the guide made us follow him as a group and took us to his friends shop. Extra fees: £8.
The long bus ride is not without. But the guide Hannah in Cairo was great. The Ancient Egyptian Museum is crazy (a museum in the museum like 100 years ago). There is a lot of construction going on in Cairo so the extra boat trip on the Nile was nice for half an hour. The second additional offer for 10 euros each was camel riding or horse-drawn carriage at the pyramids. I can't recommend that. First of all, it's really cruelty to animals. Secondly, you can walk well to the plateau even on foot and thirdly you get ripped off twice for the photos that the camel guides and coachmen take, you pay again properly they also appear very outrageously demanding. Otherwise, pyramids + sphinx are great. I could do without the sales shows, in the perfumery it was rather punchy at the Papyrus Institute.
Excursion reserved for the hotel. We left by night bus 00:50 and we took 8 hours to get to Cairo: pick up in the other hotels, toilet stops. Arrival in Cairo, surprise: boat on the Nile not included in the visit 10€/person. Before the meal, we are taken to a perfumery under the pretext that the restaurant is sold out. Departure for Hurgada scheduled at 4pm but it will finally be 6pm because we have a second surprise visit to a papyrus factory. Return to hurgada at 00:30 instead of 22:00. Very long day especially for children.
Fantastic tour of Cairo with Rob Van Dam and Mohamed. I travelled with my children which was a lot smoother than expected. The tour itself was fantastic, very informative. A lot was included for the price but there will always be add ons with any excursion, depending on what you want to experience is your choice. Definitely recommend.
We went on a tour with GET YOUR GUIDE very similar to this one. I just want to warn you that it's a scam. Our guide was called Hassan Ghanem. He didn't explain anything to us. They made us get on a boat on the Nile River for 15 minutes without explaining anything to us. His English was very poor. At the Egyptian Museum, it was a disaster. He walked around and we lost him all the time. He took us to two shops, one selling tea and the other selling spices, to sell us things. The bus was uncomfortable and the driver was aggressive and drove very fast. They are scammers. Do not book with GET YOUR GUIDe
We don't offer this excursion via GetYourGuide, otherwise there wasn't Cairo trip on 1st Feb. We think you got the wrong link and supplier.
I went by myself and felt really safe the whole time. It’s a really decent trip at a very good price.
