Lindos stands as one of the most captivating historical destinations—not just in Greece, but globally. Layers of history reveal themselves here, where ancient Greek, Roman, and Byzantine influences merge with the medieval legacy of the Knights of St. John. A visit to Lindos feels like a journey through centuries of civilization. Beyond its rich past, the village enchants visitors with its breathtaking beauty. Take a leisurely walk through its charming maze of narrow lanes, adorned with blooming flowers, fruit trees, colorful tiles, and quaint fountains. The panoramic views of the twin harbors are nothing short of spectacular. For those interested, the Acropolis of Lindos awaits atop a 116-meter hill. Please note: reaching it requires climbing approximately 300 steps, and there is no elevator access. Guests who wish to explore the Acropolis will be guided, while others may choose to enjoy free time in the village for lunch, shopping, or simply soaking up the atmosphere.
Rhodes Old Town is one of the oldest medieval towns in Europe, a maze of kept ruins and cobbled lanes that was once a vibrant and glorious medieval city. It’s just a dream scene for someone who likes to take pictures! The Old Town of Rhodes is a very inspiring place. The medieval town of Rhodes belongs to the World Heritage and is under protection of UNESCO. It is considered one of the few best preserved medieval cities in Europe.
Mandraki Harbour has been in use since ancient times and was formerly the military port of Rhodes; it was protected from attack by gigantic chains across its narrow mouth and later by the impregnable bulk of the Fort of St Nicholas, built in 1467 and still watching over the marina. Over the centuries the harbor was also a successful and rich trading port but these days its role in Rhodes life is entirely peaceful; a fetching clutch of billionaires’ super-yachts bob in the marina alongside traditional fishing boats and a multitude of tour boats, which depart every day in summer to visit islands off the coast of Rhodes – including Symi and Nisyros – as well as ferrying visitors to local beaches and on diving trips.
Enjoy some free time in the Medieval City of Rhodes to stroll along cobblestone streets, admire the well-preserved medieval architecture, browse local shops, or enjoy a leisurely coffee surrounded by history.

Some places are beautiful, but Rhodes has a warmth to it that is hard to describe. The people were friendly, the views were amazing and each part of the Island had it's own character. I really wish we had booked another night instead of leaving that afternoon at the end of the tour.
Service was phenomenal, great communication and with no problems to report. My child had a great time!
Be prepared to walk/climb and know that Lindos is the hottest point in all of Greece - you will sweat! Overall, it was a great tour to learn about the history of a very unique island.
I enjoyed simply sitting in one of the cafe, watching people stroll through the old streets. I've been on tours where you're constantly moving, but this one had much better pace.
User friendly website! New users should know your website should be accessed via the cruise confirmation email from Advantage Cruises, NOT the reminder email to book shore excursions!!
Not really worth the money, very rushed tour for what they are charging. Tour guide left one of the stops laving passengers behind then when we managed to get in contact with her she came across as rude over the phone. After reading the reviews it also seems like it may just be the standard for this company to be rude with how they are replying to reviews.
We regret to hear that a 7-hour tour with 2 hours of free time in Lindos and 1 hour of free time in the Old Town seemed rushed to you. I personally assisted by phone the couple who got lost in the Old Town. They were full of appreciation for the office and the guide for walking the extra mile for them. The guide was speaking with me, not with the guests, as we do not provide our guides’ numbers, only our office emergency number. Ioanna is one of the top 10 guides in Rhodes, and you can find many glowing reviews about her online, including on this website. If you find this reply rude, please accept our sincere apologies. Wishing you safe and happy travels!
Two excellent locations. I wish we spent more time at the two main attractions rather than the stop at the ceramics and olive oil shop. These stops were interesting and many people did enjoy browsing and tasting, but if expectations were set from the beginning we could have made the stops quicker. This location was scheduled for 15 minutes and we ended up at least 45 min. It cut time away from Lindos. The bus drive was long but the guide Joanna provided excellent information about the area and history.
We expected beautiful scenery, but this tour offered much more than that. Every stop revealed something different, from panoramic coastal views to fascinating historical sites. Lindos was absolutely picturesque, and we could easily have spent even longer wandering around its charming streets. The free time was appreciated because it allowed us to explore according to our own interests. The Medieval City impressed us with its atmosphere. Unlike many historical areas, it still felt vibrant and lived-in. Overall, the day exceeded expectations and gave us some of our favorite memories from Rhodes.
Our favorite part of the tour was the first stop at a pottery making demonstration and shop with a beautiful selection of pottery made there. Lindos and Rhodes are also visually appealing, especially the medieval architecture of Rhodes. Guide was extremely informative and moved the group at at a quick pace. Recommend.
Dimitri is great! She is a good listener, takes our needs/wants into consideration, and is always thoughtful and responsive.
