Excellent day. The Bamboo Experience was great fun and the guides brilliant giving us lots of interesting detail of bamboo and Laos. Finishing with the dancing was top fun. After this the time at the waterfall was enjoyable and wasn't too busy and great views. Definitely worth walking up to The View.
Day was awesome, I never knew what you could do with bamboo, owner, his wife and staff are just fabulous, knowledgeable and funny and incredibly helpful. I really enjoyed this day, helping to prepare food and then having lunch, the whole experience is worth doing.

Thank you very much Ada and Rachel, nice to meet you both!
This trip was an amazing way to combine several experiences in Luang Prabang. The bamboo experience was very interesting and the guide goes into detail about the various cultural uses of bamboo in Laos. A master bamboo weaver is then available to demonstrate to you how to make bamboo products. I then enjoyed “home cooking with mum” which showed several varied uses of bamboo in Laos cuisine. The food was delicious and the setting right beside the rice paddies and karst mountains was very beautiful. A local musician also performed using bamboo wind instruments whilst performing local dance - I don’t know how he has the lungs to do that! After this I was driven to and from the waterfalls to spend as much time there as I pleased. Hotel pick up and drop off was included. All in all this was a very memorable day and a great way to experience the culture and scenery of Luang Prabang whilst also supporting some very talented locals.
