Itinerary
Meet your expert driver at the designated meeting point in central Seville. Board your comfortable, air-conditioned minivan for a scenic journey through Andalusia. Our small-group transport ensures a relaxed and personalized experience as we travel towards one of Spain's most iconic monuments. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure time with your passport or valid ID, as original identification is mandatory for Alhambra entry.
Enjoy a comfortable journey through the stunning Andalusian countryside. Relax in our air-conditioned minivan as we travel from Seville to Granada, passing olive groves, whitewashed villages, and dramatic mountain landscapes. Your driver will make a comfort stop along the route, allowing you to stretch your legs and grab refreshments if needed. As we approach Granada, you'll catch your first glimpses of the Sierra Nevada mountains and the city.
Begin your guided tour at the enchanting Generalife, the summer palace and country estate of the Nasrid sultans. Wander through the exquisite gardens, featuring aromatic plants, cypress-lined pathways, and the famous Court of the Water Channel with its elegant fountains. Your official guide will explain how these 13th-century gardens served as a peaceful retreat for Granada's rulers, designed to represent an earthly paradise. Admire the sophisticated irrigation system that still feeds the gardens today, a testament to the advanced engineering of Islamic Al-Andalus. The serene atmosphere and breathtaking views over Granada make this an unforgettable start to your Alhambra experience. Don't forget your camera—the photo opportunities here are spectacular.
Discover the Medina, the residential area where court officials and elite servants once lived within the Alhambra walls. Stroll through atmospheric pathways lined with historic buildings, gardens, and workshops that reveal daily life in this palatine city. Next, visit the imposing Palace of Charles V, a stunning Renaissance masterpiece built in the 16th century after the Christian conquest. Marvel at its unique circular courtyard within a square building, representing the perfect blend of Renaissance ideals and architectural innovation. The striking contrast between this grand Renaissance palace and the surrounding Islamic architecture illustrates the cultural transition of Granada. Your guide will explain how Charles V intended this palace to symbolize imperial power and the new Christian era in Andalusia.
Explore the Alcazaba, the oldest section of the Alhambra complex and its impressive military fortress. Built in the mid-13th century, this formidable defensive structure protected the royal palaces and the Medina. Climb the Torre del Cubo, one of the tallest watchtowers, for panoramic views of Granada, the Albaicín quarter, and the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains. Your guide will reveal the strategic importance of this fortress and share stories of the Nasrid dynasty that once ruled from these walls. Walk through the remnants of soldiers' quarters and defensive ramparts while learning about medieval military architecture and the final years of Muslim Spain before the Christian conquest in 1492.
Step inside the legendary Nasrid Palaces, the crown jewel of the Alhambra and a masterpiece of Islamic art in Europe. Available EXCLUSIVELY with the Full Tour option, this is the highlight that makes your visit truly unforgettable. Marvel at the intricate stucco work, geometric tile mosaics, and carved wooden ceilings that adorn every surface. Your guide will lead you through the iconic Court of the Lions with its famous fountain supported by twelve marble lions, the Hall of the Abencerrajes with its stunning star-shaped dome, and the Hall of the Ambassadors where sultans received dignitaries. Admire the poetic Arabic inscriptions, delicate horseshoe arches, and the interplay of light and water throughout these intimate royal chambers. This exclusive access requires advance booking due to extremely limited daily capacity—a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
After an incredible day exploring the Alhambra, board your comfortable minivan for the return journey to Seville. Relax and reflect on the architectural wonders and rich history you've experienced while enjoying the scenic Andalusian landscape. Your driver will ensure a smooth and comfortable ride back, with a rest stop if needed. Share your favorite moments with fellow travelers or simply unwind as we make our way through olive groves and charming villages. This convenient round-trip transport means you can fully enjoy your day without worrying about driving, parking, or navigation.

Though our tickets for Alhambra Palace included Nasrid Palaces as per the itinerary, we were not taken there.
Dear Deepak, As we explained to you several times yesterday and again this morning, you booked the cheapest available tour, which did NOT include the Nasrid Palaces. This information is visible before booking in the "Included and Not Included" section and in the description of each tour before purchase. We also reiterated this in your visit reminder. We regret that you were unable to visit this part of the tour, but it is the tour you freely chose. Therefore, we advise you to read all the details of your booking to avoid disappointment next time. Have a lovely day! The team Discovering Spain
Our driver from Seville to the Alhambra Palace, Jose, was brilliant! His minibus was extremely comfortable and a very safe drive. We stopped at a lovely cafe on the way, where Jose recommended a delicious local delicacy to try, which did not disappoint! It was lovely to chat along the way and learn snippets of local history etc, plus the added bonus of being dropped back at our hotel at the end of a long day, saving a 40 min walk! Definitely a 5 star experience regarding the transport. The Alhambra Palace and gardens were stunning, but the guided tour was a large group of around 24, which in my opinion, was way too big as it was hard to keep up with guide who was constantly on the move, and resulted in the audio headset provided becoming out of range! The tour is marketed as a ‘small group’ on its header page, so I was expecting this for both the transport and tour, but sadly this was not the case and for me, spoilt the experience somewhat. Hence only 3 stars. If like me, you are looking for a small group experience for the entire day, would be worth clarifying with your provider first.
Dear customer, Thank you for your detailed feedback! 🌟 We are thrilled that Jose and the comfortable journey from Seville provided a 5-star experience for you. 🚐 Regarding the tour, we guarantee transport in small groups of up to 8 people, though the Alhambra guided visit can include up to 30 people, around 8-15 people... depending on demand. 🏰 We also offer fully private options for a more intimate experience. 🙌 The team Discovering Spain.
Our driver Rafael was great. He changed the pick up spot to be closer to us. Our guide at the Alhambra was very knowledgeable and friendly The Alhambra is beautiful! Great day trip from Seville!

Our private transfer to Alhambra by Rafa was first class. He messaged us in the morning of the pickup, gave us a coffee break en route due to the long drive time, took care of us meeting our Alhambra guide, communicated with us for the pickup point back, arranged another coffee break and dropped us off in the city at a location convenient for our evening’s plans. He was wonderful company all day, and he was very familiar with our home country of Scotland which made for great conversations. Our guide for Alhambra 2 hours walk tour was Xavi. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and history. Very considerate about the heat and keeping us in the shade. Absolutely top class guide. Highly recommend this excursion.

I was picked up where indicated and I was grateful the driver had my number as he contacted me when there. I was by myself so this was very helpful. After the drive to Granada I met the tour group but not before the driver made sure I was there. He also kept in contact with taking me back. While the tour was wonderful the driver was an essential part of this tour making me feel safe as a solo traveler
Hello! We are really glad hearing that not simply enjoyed the tour but also you could appreciate our team. We always try to offer our customers the best service and we work hard to achieve that! We hope to see you again :) Regards.
