Fukuoka City walking with public transport Sightseeing Tour

Description
This tour has a combination of walking and the use of a very convenient public transport system. Even though Fukuoka is a large Metropolitan City of nearly 2 million people it is rather compact within the city center and an easy place to transverse either by walking or using the subway or both. This walking tour of Fukuoka City can accommodate up to 8 members. Pick ups and drop offs at a local hotel is part of the service.

Itinerary
Let`s check out this beautifully presented Shrine whilst getting a Shinto Blessing.
It's a step back into the past with a Retro shopping experience at one of the oldest Markets in Fukuoka.
A walk through the Tenjin Underground Shopping Center will leave you speechless and feeling like a shopping spree is the answer to life`s problems.
The Japanese Gardens here in Ohori Park are incredible at any time of the year and a natural delight.
The peaceful and relaxing Fukuoka Castle Remains and the nearby History Museum will provide a lot of information for you and your party.
A quick view of a street arcade and nearby ruins of the remnants of the wall that was built in the 13th Century by the Samurai`s to protect Fukuoka from the advancing Mongolians.
The Mongolian wall remnants in Central Fukuoka are a real find indeed! You wouldn't expect to be able to find this incredible site and a window to the long and dynamic historical past. Obviously, the wall is only a fraction of what it was at its peak in the 13th Century but never the less, such a strong impression can be obtained of what the exact situation was with the combative Mongolians and their quest to invade Japan. The remains are central located near Seinan University and only a 10 minute walk from the nearest subway station, so its a location that isn't too difficult to find let alone enjoy a stroll and feel the historical significance of the area.
Get a birds eye view of Fukuoka and surrounding areas from the top of the Fukuoka Tower. The views are incredible and will give you a special feel of the city from 123 meters above the ground.
Walk along the Momochi Boardwalk and enjoy the pleasant sea breezes as you pass landmark buildings such as the Hilton Hotel, Fukuoka PayPal Dome and the MarkIs Shopping Mall.
A great last attraction to finish the day. Highlights here include the rooftop lookout and an observatory to see a multitude of trains coming and going from the terminal including the amazing Shinkansen.

A fabulous day out with Shannon, a knowledgeable tour guide who helped us to see both the local view and the highlights view of Fukuoka. Able to cover large distances to see things others off the ship did not on a private tour. Visits to the beautiful Japanese garden Ohori, the Rock Shrine and up to the top of the Fukuoka Tower. Interesting facts shared throughout the day by Shannon who looked after us like rockstars - pick up at the port in his extremely clean and comfortable vehicle and definitely showed us a brilliant time!
Thanks Paul, it really was a fabulous day. I am so glad that I was able to show you the highlight attractions of Fukuoka. I hope you come back to explore more of this region one day.
Mr. Lefebvre was a very helpful, and informative Fukuoka walking tour guide. We later went on a bicycle tour with Bike is Life . . . .
I am glad I was able to show you and your family many interesting sites around Fukuoka City. I am sure there were many changes to the urban landscape since your last visit many years ago.
If you love shopping and eating, this is the tour for you. We got to see the hidden gems that most tourists wouldn’t discover. We visited department stores, boutique shops hidden in the back streets, restaurants that had the most amazing dumplings I’ve ever tasted, that was so cheap and delicious tempura. If you love thrift shopping this is the tour to take. You walk around easily. I purchase many items from second Street. I can highly recommend the experience within English speaking guide that knows where to go. Definitely a must add to your trip to Fukuoka.
I can absolutely cater to the shoppers and gourmet lovers of Japanese food.
