We had such a great time doing the beautiful hike and loved visiting the swimming hole! My only wish was that we would’ve had a bit longer to enjoy the water after the hike.
The trail was beautiful and the hot springs at the end were super refreshing. We had a great time. The water is not hot, but with the sun that was out, it was definitely worth it. Arturo and Felipe were spectacular. This team was Five Star.
Rafting was much fun and we had a great guide, Carlos, taking good care of us in the boat. The springs were quite refreshing afterwards.
The mineral pools were amazing, the hike was beautiful- The driver was useless- when I got there I asked if this was the tour bus and he said no and closed the door. The tour guide showed up and it was the correct bus. When they dropped us off they had said there would be two stops, but only stopped once. A few people (including myself) were not dropped at the original location. The driver didn't know we were on the bus- when we went and asked where we were going he became upset with us and kicked us off the bus. We had to find our way back- a 45 minute city bus ride 🙄 The day was rushed- not much time for pictures and things but overall I am glad we experienced the hike and mineral waters. We went to a waterfall on the way back- I would have preferred to skip the waterfall - just to relax a little more on the hike and get back to the city earlier. I would recommend to a friend, but warn them about these few things just because I like hiking and swimming so much.
Tao y Juanse were incredible!!! We got to learn so much history and see so many cool spots. They gave us more than enough time to take photos at the sites and try new things. Tao was a great motivator and encouraged us to get out of our comfort zones, forever thankful. Give that, I would say the hike itself could be considered beginner friendly but once you arrive to the river, you should be prepared to swim and hold yourself up for quite some time. The water gets quite deep at some portions so be mindful of that.
We booked this not expecting much besides the pools to swim in. We were so pleasantly surprised that it was so much more. Tau was an excellent guide and if possible you should have him. He took us to the coolest spots that no other group was going to. 100/10 experience. We were all over the moon with the trip.
"It was a fantastic day thanks to our tour guides! Their funny, kind, and entertaining style made this already fabulous trip truly unforgettable. Thanks, guys!"
This tour was not at all what I was expecting. Please be warned - the “thermal pools” are a constant 25° Celsius/ 77°F, but I didn’t know that until we arrived to the “thermal pools”. Per google, “A thermal pool is a pool filled with naturally warm or hot water, typically heated by the Earth's geothermal activity. These waters are usually rich in dissolved minerals (such as sulfur, calcium, and lithium) and are highly valued for hydrotherapy, muscle relaxation, and stress”. There was absolutely no hot or warm water in this place, and I’m not sure 25/77 is considered warm or hot to anyone. The rafting was uneventful as the water level was low, and we had to get out several times and jump back into the very frigid water (much colder than the 25 down below) to avoid bottoming out the rafts. We did get a couple of white water areas but the rest was rock or cliff jumping to get back in the boat. My feet were numb from being so cold and jumping in the water was absolutely frigid, making normally a strong swimmer difficult to swim. This wasn’t at all what I expected from the description.
Thank you for your feedback. It seems you may have misunderstood, as our product description clearly states that the water remains at approximately 23°C year-round. The pools are called "thermal" due to theur natural mineral-rich waters, these are not hot springs or geothermal spa pools. Regarding rafting, river conditions vary depending on water levels and can affect the route and intensity of the activity. We're sorry the experience did not meet your expectations and hope to do better on another occasion.
Experience wa amazing, breathtaking and fun. However, they did told us not to take our cameras. They will do the videos and images and send it to us by the end of the day. It’s never happened. Extremely disappointed in this. All the memories are gone.
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience. We are sorry to learn about the issue with the photos and videos. These are provided by our rafting partner, and occasionally delays or technical issues can occur. Please contact Hola Trip with your booking details and we will do our best to help locate and resend the media if available.😊
The thermal pools are amazingly clean, clear and spacious. The atmosphere is calm and quiet. The trails are well laid out and mostly level. We had a great time.
