Group Too Large

Pompeii, of course, was amazing! The tour itself was disappointing. The group was too large and spread out so we were not always near the tour guide and weren't sure what she was describing (luckily, we did have audio). She also didn't always keep track of the group.

Make sure you only have English speaking group. Not multilingual!!

Half day tour was a two hour in Pompeii that included the entrance area of the sites; colosseum, bakery, brothel, bath, garden, it was enough for me as there was no shade in 90° summer day. Bus was a tour bus w good AC. We had two Italians in our big English speaking group. That was very annoying to waste time in this short tour since it took double the time for the guide to explain in two different languages before moving to the next point. All the other English speaking tours kept on passing us. Our guide stopped in the front to show us the map of the entire site to let us know where she’s taking us as no other tours around didn’t waste time and kept going ahead to line up for the popular spots. Our guide couldve just passed a map card around on the bus and told us what we are seeing when we arrive instead of wasting our precious minutes. So much time was lost because of dual translation. I signed up for ENGLISH SPEAKING TOUR. Not multilingual. Please confirm that before making the booking!!!
