From Angra: Terceira Island Full-Day Jeep Tour (Private)
Description
This tour focuses on the interior dirt roads of Terceira Island, exploring the rich nature ever present in the Azores. We start our tour picking up the travellers in the hotel lobby and visiting Monte Brasil, where we have a bird's eye view of Angra do Heroísmo. Following this, we'll drive through the dirt roads of Serra da Ribeirinha, passing by different viewpoints and villages, with several opportunities for pictures. After lunch, we may visit Algar do Carvão (tickets not included), where we can learn all sorts of things about volcanic eruptions and their formations. The tour ends by dropping the traveller off at their hotel.

We visit Monte Brasil, a volcano which was formed from underwater
We will drive by Salga Bay, where local people from the village fought the spanish preventing them to invade the island in the XVI century
We'll have several chances to enjoy the view over Angra do Heroísmo in these viewpoints.

On the tour you visit lots of places and get a real feel for the island. Terceira is a beautiful island. Our guide was Nuno, he was great! The jeep can take you places a van or bus can’t travel. It was a great tour. I would suggest it yo anyone.
