The Forbidden City, said to consist of over 9,000 rooms, is the largest and best-preserved royal palace throughout the world. Serving as the seat of power in the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 - 1911), it was dwelled by 24 emperors in its history of over 600 years.

- Please ensure that your name and passport number is accurately provided.
- Visitors from Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan must book tickets in advance using their Mainland Travel Permit and ensure the correct ID type is selected.
- Chinese visitors using ID cards may book tickets independently via the official mini-program.
- Tickets are only valid for the selected date. Entry is strictly limited to the reserved time slot.
- This is a pre-booking service. Tickets are released 7 days in advance, and confirmations will be sent upon issuance.
- Entrance: The Meridian Gate; Two Exit: Shenwu Gate (near Jingshan Park)/ Donghua Gate (near Wangfujing Street).
- All 3 options are "Ticket Only" service, please arrange your self-guided visits.

An amazing place to visit. Do bring your passport for entry and note bags are searched and scanned so queues can be long.

Just massively impressive! You need an extra day if you really want to see each and every corner. Tip from the guide: if possible don’t bring a bag, handbag or backpack and put your stuff in your pockets instead. It saves a lot of queuing time at the security check.

The admission fee is cheap, and the whole experience makes me feel so proud about China's agriculture and history. Although it was a long walk, the lanes are easy to go and its literally the best place for photo-taking in Beijing. It's the only place that I can learn about China's history. Best recommended for solos, couples and friends.

This was a fantastic experience. The tickets were our passports which made it really easy to not have to worry about finding our tickets. The directions that were given were perfect. It really made it easy to find the correct entrance that we needed which can be very confusing since it is a massive place. Mina was our tour guide today for the forbidden city tour and her knowledge was exceptional. That made it so much more interesting to learn about the temple and the history, and she was very friendly and inclusive.
