You will see first the outside of the Church of Santa Croce, the principal Franciscan church of Florence with its wonderful frescoes.
Then it is on to Piazza dei Peruzzi and the Bargello Palace. A short walk will bring you to the Porcellino market and here your guide will tell you all about Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s oldest bridge dating back to the 14th century.
Wander around small streets that date back to the Middle Ages to arrive at the political heart of the city at Piazza della Signoria. Get impressive views of the Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio, historically the home of the government of Florence.
Arrive in Piazza del Duomo in the oldest part of the city. Marvel at the marble engravings and the magnificent dome of the Duomo, the baptistery's paradise door and Giotto's bell tower.

Stefania, our private guide was brilliant extremely iinformative, fun, and a great way to learn about Florence A treasure of experience!
Our guide Aurora was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and encouraged questions with a friendly attitude
Giuilo was our tour guide. Because this was later in October, we were the only two people on this tour. Giulio adjusted the pace of the tour slightly to fit our pace and tendency to wander off course taking photos. He took his time showing us around the major attractions in Florence, making sure we watched our step with curbs and traffic while explaining the history of Florence. He patiently answered all of our questions and made suggestions for what to see in our extra days in Florence. This was an excellent tour to begin our vacation in Florence. Would highly recommend this tour.
Aurora was fantastic! Super knowledgeable and showed us many hidden gems including restaurants! This is my fourth time to Florence and I found out new fun facts!
Julio did a great job of teaching us about Florence on our first day. This was an excellent way to become familiar with Florence!
This is a must do for the first time traveler to Florence. Our guide went over historical facts about the Medici Family, Dante, Machiavelli and the statue of David. It goes beyond the great shopping and dining.
Great way to learn about Florence. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was nice being in a small group.
