Itinerary
Beginning in Via Cavour 21 red, we will pass nearby the first residence of the Medici family and the Chapel of the Medici.
The religious center of this magnificent city. Here we will admire the Baptistery, Duomo-Cathedral, all of which are decorated with elaborate facades and marble panels.
Towards Dante’s home, we will stop in the front of Santa Margherita or Dante’s Church, where Beatrice is buried.
There will be a view of the Bargello Palace, a former prison.
Next, we will walk to Palazzo Vecchio famous for its civil architecture, and the Medici family political court. Then, in Piazza Della Signoria, we will observe an open-air museum of many statues including the copy of Michelangelo’s David as well as many other notable works.
We will then pass into the wings of the Uffizi Gallery, an example of Mannerist architecture with one of the most impressive art collections in the world.
Following the Arno River, we will walk toward Ponte Vecchio, a bridge famous for its gold jewelry shops.
Finally, we will end the tour by stopping in front of the Palazzo Pitti.
