Florence Duomo Complex Private Tour

Description
We invite you to explore the entire complex of the Dome of Florence on a private guided tour visiting the Opera del Duomo Museum, Baptistery, Cathedral and the Crypt of Santa Reparata. With no climbs, this tour will be much more interesting and less strenuous. With your private guide you will discover the Museum, which inside it contains the original doors of the Baptistery (including the door of paradise/golden door), the original statues of the Cathedral and the Bell Tower, such as Michelangelo's Pietà and Donatello's Maddalena. After you will visit the Baptistery of San Giovanni, consecrated in 1059, it was dedicated to San Giovanni Battista, patron saint of the city. Many Florentines were baptized there, including Dante Alighieri, poet and father of the Italian language. Here you can admire the dome and apse, decorated with religious mosaics with a golden background. At the end of the tour you will be able to visit on your own the Crypt and the Cathedral, skipping the long lines

This was one of the best things I did in Florence. My guide, Leonardo, was fantastic. He provided so much information about the history and context that I got much more out of the experience than if I had gone on my own. The museum across the street isn’t to be missed with some works just as important as in the bigger museums but without the crowds. I highly recommend.
Great tour, beautiful from start to finish. Sabrina was a great guide, very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Guido was amazing. His knowledge of art history was only eclipsed by his enthusiasm. We much appreciated his suggestions on how to spend the remainder of our time while in Florence.
Booked tour on line but then got contacted to state it wasn't available and had to change start time. Went to office to meet guide there was some slight confusion as to what tour we were doing (assume this was due to the change of timing). the tour with the guide was very information and interesting. When we got vouchers at office they were actually for someone else for a different tour so after our guided tour we went back to confirm we could still enter the Duomo in the 'skip the line' queue. They assured us we could. We went back and we were able to enter without any problem. We a bit confusing but was well worth doing.
Francesca was fantastic. My mom can’t go up all the steps and was really interested in the architecture of the cathedral and the doors of the Baptistry. We learned so much from our great guide - the museum has so many amazing things - a surprise Michelangelo! Our favorite part was seeing the old floor of the earlier cathedral- beautiful old tile work.
Francesca was an amazing & exceptional guide, so knowledgeable about the Duomo and the history of Florence.
We were unable to climb to the top of the Duomo bc of a recent injury but this tour was the next best thing! Francesca was a fantastic guide - we learned so much from her as she shared so many nuances and details we would have never gleaned on our own. Not only is she extremely well-versed in the history, architecture, and art of Florence, but she is warm, friendly, and clearly enthusiastic and passionate about sharing all she can with her guests. Highly recommend!
