Dino is very friendly and gave us a wonderful tour. Highly recommend for a nice half day excursion.
Our driver/tour guide, Dino, was our guide for a great day. We were picked up in a private van and Dino shared his wealth of knowledge for the sights and history of Croatia. His effervescent personality made for an enjoyable day. Our first stop Winery Botaro for a yummy wine tasting and farm to table charcuterie delicacies. The Winery is in a beautiful setting and our hostess/somalier, Matea, shared her family’s history with us. A unique story and a wealth of information on the wines. As an artist, I can’t wait to sketch some of the beautiful vistas on the property. Our second stop was a family restaurant, Konoba Vinica Monkovic where we sat in a canopy of woodland foliage over a babbling stream. A beautiful spot to dine on a platter of assorted meats prepared “under the bell.” The three course meal with charcuterie, salad, meat and potato platter, followed with dessert…was great. My husband and I enjoyed it immensely and highly recommend it. Thank you, Dino.
We had a personal tour with Dino, as there was just the two of us. What a great trip to the winery where we enjoyed wine and nibbles in the shade with amazing insight into the family run business. Next on to a magical lunch on top of the river, so much food and so delicious
If you’re looking to escape the Dubrovnik crowds, this tour is a must. The Konavle valley is breathtakingly beautiful, the traditional lunch was delicious, and the Winery Botaro visit was a total highlight. Our group had a wonderful time with thanks to Dino, who is a fabulous guide with a brilliant personality. Truly a fresh, authentic way to see the "real" countryside. When organising the excursion, Dino was also extremely responsive, knowledgable and flexible. Thank you Dino! 5 stars!
Jam packed day filled with great wine tasting and delicious home made food. Dino is an excellent driver and entertainer. He made us feel comfortable and energized all day. I highly recommend this day trip with Dino!
Two Great Days Out of Dubrovnik with Dino 1022634611 We are a family of four with two grown up kids (aged 18 and 21) who have just come back from five days in Dubrovnik. No doubt Dubrovnik is an amazing city but this is peak season so very busy, and this was our first time in Croatia so we were keen to see the surrounding area. We were able to do this thanks to two great days out with Dino as our driver and guide. Dino is a very friendly, warm and engaging person who has excellent connections and great local knowledge. Our first trip consisted of stops at the one of the smallest rivers in Europe, panoramic views and great photo opportunity over Dubrovnik, then onto a delightful small resort town of Cavtat where we had ice cream and were able to spend time looking around Cavtat. On Dino’s recommendation we then stopped for lunch on the way back to Dubrovnik at Zupicica where the food was fresh, very nice, and really good value especially compared to Dubrovnik Old Town. Having had a great day out we then got chatting with Dino about another trip. We were keen to avoid a 8-9 hour all day activity so that ruled out a boat cruise. Dino suggested a trip higher up into the Croatian Mountains and a lunch stop at a restaurant on the river in Konavle Valley for a 5-6 hour duration. This truly was a fantastic day. We went even higher up for views of Dubrovnik and the Adriatic Sea; we visited Sokol Castle and then to crown it all we had the most wonderful lunch “on the river” at Vinica Monkovic. Dino is clearly great friends with the owners and booked us a great table where we were able to enjoy fabulous home produced food and wine amidst the peace and tranquility of the river. This being a world away from the busyness and tourist hotspots of Dubrovnik Old Town. Next time we visit this area we will be sure to contact Dino in advance to explore other trips we could do with him including to Bosnia Herzegovina to see Mostar and Sarajevo. Many thanks Dino - all four of us had a truly memorable experience.
The tour was excellent. We enjoyed the food, drinks and nature. Konavle is a nice place where you can recharge your batteries. Everything is peaceful, fresh air and wonderful people. We saw a lot of farm animals. The tour was wonderful and we really enjoyed it. All food recommendations and a great guide.
Dino is a character. We had a great time around Dubrovnik and the countryside. He’s easy to communicate with and motivated to make sure you have a good trip.
We had a great dinner on this tour. Prior to dinner, we drove to a scenic overview of the old walled city. The restaurant is highly acclaimed, rated in top 10% in the world. The food was probably the best I have eaten in Croatia. A must do if you are a foodie.
Dino is great company and took me to a lovely restaurant by a stream where all the food and drinks are locally sourced. Couldn't be better and there's even a local dog called Kiko that visits all the patrons. A beautiful outing
