Perfect gift to a father!

This was honestly such a wonderful and wholesome experience. I took my dad here as a gift and it stood above and beyond over other tours we’ve done! The price was very affordable for what we got in tasters and knowledge of the craft! I recommend!!

Host was entertaining and personable. Top notch gins, unique whiskey but small facility. If you enjoy spirits this is a great tour.

Interesting Distillery for an Iceland Excursion

We booked the 4 pm tour on a Saturday months before arrival in Reykjavik. We appreciated the quick response to our questions. This was an easy and short taxi ride from our hotel and a fun afternoon excursion before our Sky Lagoon visit which is also close by. The tasting room was full and it was an interesting introduction to the differences of the distilling process and ingredients in the Iceland. The host was interesting and friendly - he helped with calling our taxi to leave when we had issues with the app.

Floki Forever

This is the most generous and entertaining distillery tour I have ever been on - and at my age you’ve been to many on stag weekends and boys trips. Our host was charming and funny - poured a generous measure and many different ones. The history and nature of each whisky, gin and vodka was explained in detail as well as the story of the distillery itself. We never felt rushed or pressured to buy - instead we were entertained and hosted in style. I can’t recommend it highly enough

A must do in Iceland

I honestly didn’t expect this tour to be anywhere near as interesting as it turned out to be. Of course, you learn about the whisky, the production process and what makes Flóki unique, but the experience goes far beyond that. Jón was fantastic. His knowledge is incredibly deep, and what really stands out is how passionate he is about sharing it. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that energy makes the whole tour engaging from start to finish. What surprised me most was that the tour wasn’t just about whisky. Jón weaves Icelandic history, culture and traditions into the experience in a way that feels natural and fascinating. By the end, I felt like I had learned as much about Iceland as I had about whisky. The tasting was also far more generous than I expected. The amount of whisky you get to try for the price is incredible, and the overall value of the experience is hard to beat. If you're visiting Iceland, whether you're a whisky lover or not, I highly recommend this tour. It was informative, entertaining, and one of the most unexpectedly enjoyable experiences of my trip. Huge thanks to Jón for making it such a memorable experience.

Unforgettable experience—highly recommend :)

We had a weird gap in our day so we decided to fill it with the distillery tour, and now it’s something I don’t think our trip would be the same without! We had an incredible experience with Nico at the distillery tour. He was a highly knowledgeable guide and we enjoyed learning about the process from start to finish. He was eager to answer questions and so friendly. The drinks were all quite delicious and the only regret I have is that I cannot bring more home on the flight! With a group size of just 6 total on our tour, we felt very comfortable. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!

Other

Nice story and nicely told. Different from the standard story from Scotland or Ireland (no negative intention). Special Whisky from a special country.

A must stop for Iceland spirits

The tour of the Eimverk Distillery was very in depth. Despite being smaller in stature than most other distilleries, the tour was very detailed and we learned a lot about Iceland and their spirits scene. The gentleman who gave the tour was engaging and made the time spent a delight. They provided samples of most of their product line which was more than I was expecting given the paltry share other distillers provide at tasting.

Great experience with very generous tastings of excellent spirits. Fantastic host with superb mix of humor & information

Turning up to find I was the only person on the tour I was worried about it being awkward but the welcome was really friendly and a gin & tonic to start off. The tour guide (Bjorn?) was absolutely brilliant, a great blend of information about the distillery mixed with information about Icelandic history, jokes and even magic. The distillery itself is small but the way the distillery manages all of its supply chain is interesting and a tasting of fledgling spirit and the tour was a nice gap between the gin/aquavit and whisky tasting elements. The whisky tasting was across all of the expressions the distillery offers and it was interesting to compare and contrast young malts with those aged longer. All of the malts they make tasted great, my favourite were the beer barrel aged and sheep dung smoked whiskies. I’m not a vodka fan but their vodka is nice and their gins/brennivin are also excellent. The distillery is a 15min (c.5,000 isk) cab ride from downtown Reykjavik and given the generosity of tastings and general cost of alcohol in Iceland represents superb value for money at €41 per person. But the experience was fabulous so I’d not hesitate to recommend in any event. A tip (which they told me anyway so I’m not denying them sales)- you can buy almost all of the whiskies, aquavit and some gins at Keflavik airport duty free. Distillers edition, the sloe gin and a couple of others you can only buy at the distillery. Also their merch is excellent and locally made, I bought a lovely pottery coffee cup.
