First Time Introductory Scuba Dive

Description
On our late morning dive trip, we visit two shallow reefs (average depth of 30′ to 40′ / 9m-12m). We will see hundreds, even thousands of colorful reef fish. More than 25% are endemic to Hawaii, meaning they are only found here. There is a lot of great coral too, with 40% of our corals endemic to Hawaii. Of course, we can never guarantee specific wildlife sightings. But there is a great chance you will see other marine life such as eels, sea turtles, rays, octopuses, and dolphins. We see turtles on over 85% of our dives!

Page was awesome! She communicated the goals and expectations with us, and kept us safe for a fantastic experience. This was the highlight of our vacation on Oahu.
Had a great first diving experience! The team was super helpful and patient with me as I took my time going down. Got to go down twice (which was nice because I was much more prepared the 2nd time i went down + got to take my camera down). Saw eels, coral, fish, and turtles. Had an amazing time with them and would definitely go again/recommend to solo travelers.
This was an amazing first time scuba diving trip! Ed was super helpful and did a great job making us feel safe! The crew handled all of the logistics and technical aspects of the dive so we could just enjoy the underwater adventure! I would highly recommend this trip!
Ed was a great guide, showing me the basics of scuba diving before getting into the water. He was very patient, making sure we knew the ins and outs for our beginner scuba dive. Fantastic guide as well - we saw lot of wildlife (turtles, electric eels, etc.). Would highly recommend to those thinking about scuba diving for the first time!
Aloha 🌺! This was a short get a way for my boyfriend and I. Nick & Alberto were remarkable, they communicated 📞regularly and made this experience so much fun🤿! The memories will lasts a lifetime but the 📸 taken were a nice bonus, Mahalo!!!
It was my wife's first time to dive, so we signed up for the intro to SCUBA dive with Hawaiian Diving Adventures. They took us to two great locations teaming with marine life. Although my wife is probably not going to be a diver, she was able to get in the water and try out the gear with Ed, who was professional and patient and at the end of the day topped it off with some great restaurants to try. This was a great experience!
Thank you for diving with us. Watch for our Dive Travel trip if you need a dive buddy. Hope to see you again soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our crew and the diving experience with Hawaiian Diving Adventures in Oahu. I am an experienced diver, and I was allowed the freedom to explore. My son was a first-time diver, and the introductory dive and dive masters made it a truly memorable experience for him. He loved scuba, and he cannot wait to start his scuba certification now. Surprisingly, the dive sites we visited were just outside the Kewalo Harbor. So, almost all our time was spent diving instead of shuttling to and from the dive sites. The fish and marine life were great (saw turtles, shark, eel, octopus), and the visibility was very good. Thank you!
No, thank you for taking us diving. We love when new people get excited about Diving! Let's get him certified.
We wanted to introduce our kids to diving and it had been years since my husband and I dove, so we chose the Coral Reef Dive. It was 3 1/2 hours total with two dives (rest in between). Our Dive Master was Caleb and he was excellent. Clear, concise and relaxed. He made it fun and interesting. I recommend this as a good intro for newbies. The crew do all the hard work with setting up the tanks and gear and cleaning afterwards. Caleb even helped our kids with their BCDs and buoyancy. The boat Captain was very personable and everyone was professional and safety conscious.
Thanks for coming out with us! We love getting new people excited about diving.
This was my first time scuba diving. Kaleb was my dive instructor and he made me feel comfortable from the start. He gave a thorough explanation of all the safety items we will complete and then did them pretty much when we got into the water. He was by my side the entire time and kept on checking if I was OK. As far as I was concerned, I hit the jackpot on seeing undersea life to include turtles, octopi, eels, and so many colorful fish. Then we did another dive. Saw more turtles, a puffer fish, and many other fish most people see only on National Geographic. I highly recommend Hawaiian Diving Adventure. The crew was really friendly and down to earth.
So glad you had a great time. When you get certified, there is so much more to see and do. Mahalo
Enjoyable 2nd dive, but this is really not a course of beginners. If I hadn’t had prior experience, I would not have been able to do the dive. Water was extremely choppy, and a short practice of the skills in the middle of the ocean is not appropriate for a beginner diver. First experience diving can be scary and you should be given the opportunity to practice in a pool before you go into the open ocean. My daughter’s friend was so scared that she couldn’t go, and another person on the dive was also too scared to dive.
I'm so glad you had a great time underwater. We've been conducting these programs for over 15 years with a perfect safety record. Unfortunately, it was a little choppy that day. As much as we try, we have not figured out how to control the weather. The good part is that choppiness does not extend underwater and does not affect our dive. Mahalo
