Itinerary

Pass by

Your 3-hour dolphin cruise begins at Pula Harbour and sets course toward the stunning Brijuni National Park. As we cruise along the coast, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of all 14 Brijuni Islands from the sea — a perfect mix of untouched nature and rich cultural heritage. While soaking up the scenery, you’ll be served a freshly prepared meal onboard, already included in the price. Choose between grilled fish or meat, accompanied by salad, bread, wine, orange juice, and water — all served as you sail. After about two hours of sightseeing, we reach the so-called “dolphin zone” near the Brijuni Islands. Fishing is strictly prohibited in this area, making it a peaceful haven where dolphins often come to feed at sunset. This gives you a rare and memorable chance to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. The tour ends with a spectacular sunset cruise back to Pula Harbour, just in time to witness the famous “Lighting Giants” — illuminated shipyard cranes that marked history.

Pass by

As we depart from Pula Harbor, you’ll enjoy views of one of Croatia’s most historic ports. Surrounded by ancient Roman architecture and Austro-Hungarian naval heritage, the harbor offers a scenic blend of history and maritime life—setting the perfect tone for your sea adventure.

Pass by

Cruising past Brijuni National Park, you’ll enjoy a unique view of this breathtaking archipelago—famous for its lush landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and rich history. One of the highlights is Vanga Island, a secluded gem that once served as the private residence of former Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito. From the sea, you can spot his villa hidden among the trees, where he hosted global leaders and Hollywood stars, adding a touch of mystery and glamour to this peaceful paradise.

Pass by

As we pass by Mali Brijun, you’ll notice the island’s rugged beauty and untouched nature. Unlike the main island, Mali Brijun is quieter and wilder, home to Fort Minor—an impressive 19th-century Austro-Hungarian fortress. Though partially hidden by pine trees, its massive stone walls still dominate the landscape, reminding us of the island’s strategic military past. Today, it’s also known for hosting open-air theatre performances, blending history, nature, and culture in a truly unique way.

Pass by

Sailing past Veliki Brijun, the largest island of the Brijuni National Park, you'll catch glimpses of its unique blend of natural beauty and elegant history. Once a summer residence of aristocrats and later President Tito, the island is home to luxurious old hotels, a charming harbor, and one of Europe’s oldest golf courses—opened in 1922. From the sea, you might spot the island’s manicured parks, exotic animals roaming free in the safari park, and grand historical buildings surrounded by Mediterranean greenery. Veliki Brijun is where culture, nature, and a touch of glamour meet in perfect harmony.

Pass by

Dino Park – A Step Back in Time While cruising along Veliki Brijun, don’t miss the island’s unique Dino Park—a fun and educational attraction featuring life-sized dinosaur replicas placed where real dinosaur footprints from the Cretaceous period (about 130 million years ago) were discovered. This spot is especially exciting for families with kids, offering a glimpse into prehistoric times amidst the natural beauty of the island. It's a perfect blend of science, history, and adventure that adds a playful twist to Brijuni’s rich heritage.

Pass by

A Symbol of Modern Pula As we return to Pula Harbor, guests can enjoy a stunning view of the iconic Lighting Giants—illuminated shipyard cranes that light up the night sky with vibrant colors. Designed by world-renowned lighting designer Dean Skira, these cranes celebrate Pula’s industrial heritage in a modern, artistic way. Visible from the sea, they have become a proud symbol of the city and a unique attraction that blends maritime tradition with contemporary creativity. It’s the perfect way to end your cruise—with a touch of light, art, and local identity.

Small children unwelcome

We were unfortunately very disappointed. Even before the tour had really started, we were unkindly informed that our children must sit absolutely still, be quiet, and practically not move during the entire approximately three-hour trip. Since that is hardly possible with small children, it was suggested that we leave the boat and take our money back. Of course, we understand that rules apply on a boat and that consideration must be shown for other guests. However, we would have wished for a friendlier and more understanding interaction. Families with small children obviously do not feel welcome here.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback. However, we feel it is important to clarify what actually happened and to correct the impression given by this review. The statement that families with small children are “obviously not welcome” on our boat is simply not true. We welcome families with children, including very young children, on our tours every day. Of course, we understand that children cannot be expected to sit completely still and remain quiet for three hours, nor would we ever ask that of them. However, what happened in this particular situation went far beyond the normal behaviour that can reasonably be expected from small children. Before the boat had even departed, the children were shouting, constantly jumping around, walking with their shoes on the indoor leather seating, and repeatedly running up and down around the bar area. Within just a few minutes, they approached the bar numerous times and were even barking over the bar at members of our crew. Unfortunately, they did not respond even to their parents’ attempts to bring the situation under control. This was not simply a case of children being energetic or just “being children.” Their behaviour had already become extremely disruptive and inappropriate before the three-hour tour had even begun. For safety reasons and out of consideration for all the other passengers, our crew has a responsibility to react when a situation like this occurs. We therefore politely asked the family to leave the boat and offered them a full refund. This decision was not made because they were travelling with children, but solely because of the specific situation and behaviour on board at that moment. As a crew, we have a responsibility to protect the safety, comfort and overall experience of all our passengers. We simply could not allow the behaviour of a few individuals to disturb or potentially compromise the three-hour experience of an entire boat full of guests. Every guest who books our tour deserves the same opportunity to enjoy a safe, pleasant and relaxing trip. This is exactly why we felt it was necessary to prevent the situation from continuing before departure, rather than allowing it to affect all the other passengers on board. We are sorry that they were disappointed, but we firmly stand by our crew’s decision. The suggestion that families with children are not welcome on our tours because of this particular incident is simply inaccurate and does not reflect the experience of the many families with children who travel with us every day. Great tour and great crew

After a well organised boarding we set off for a very nice boat tour around the Brijuni Islands. Not long after we were in open water we saw the first Dolphins (eventhough they weren’t guaranteed) The food was well prepared (we had both the fish and the beef menus for our family) For the children there were boxes of pencils available, so during the less exciting parts of the trip, they were entertained. Thank you to the crew of the Arena.

Nice experience

Very Nice journey, we saw some dolphins but not so close. Of course it’s not the crew’s fault 😉 The crew and the guide are really nice and they do their best to make this trip a nice one. Beverages should be colder but that’s a detail in this experience. .

Great experience

Really enjoyed this boat trip. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, which was the highlight, and the trip delivered exactly what was advertised. The crew were brilliant. Everyone was friendly, helpful and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing. They made a real effort to make sure everyone had a good time. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Pula and thinking about doing a dolphin boat trip.
