TBH I was worried about doing this Tram Ton pass in one day. It was definitely challenging but totally worth it! We started at 6:30 AM and reached our lunch stop by 10:30 AM. Our guide Pang served us an incredible lunch and then we were on our way to the summit! The temperature was absolutely perfect. We definitely lucked out with the weather. The trail was completely dry the whole way, and thank goodness because there were some challenging areas with smooth rock up and down. After 5 1/2 hours of hiking. We reached the top but then had to climb another 650 stairs to the actual summit. We received a certificate and a medal presented to us by our tour guide. Unfortunately, it was totally foggy and socked in at the summit, but we took the Cable Car down and saw sweeping views of the Rice fields and the landscape. Magnificent!
Dear Karen, We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your detailed feedback. It is rewarding to hear that the trek, while challenging, was a success and that our guide, Pang, provided excellent service and a great lunch. Congratulations on reaching the summit! While we cannot control the mountain mist, we are pleased you were able to enjoy the stunning landscape via the cable car. Thank you for your recommendation. Regards, Viet Old Quarter Travel
Pre-hike: Communication was clear and the coordinator was accommodating to our request to move it up a day with 100,000 dong additional for a change fee, Hike: Pretty tough hike, lots of uphills and stairs and you need to move very quickly if you wanted to summit in one day to make it to the cable car. Also, we didn't expect it to be this cold and windy and the terrain was pretty difficult as it rained the night before and was slippery. We ended up stopping 2 hours before the first base camp and going back down. Experience during the hike: Guide was nice but kept on telling us to speed up when that was the best we could do. There's no food or coffee before and considering we started at 6am, our energies crashed quickly. Recommendation: Check the weather beforehand so you can go prepared and also book a 2-day hike where you can camp.
Dear Reem, Thank you so much for sharing your detailed feedback! We truly appreciate your comments about both the pre-hike arrangements and your experience on the trail. We’re glad to hear that our team was able to accommodate your date change smoothly. We’re sorry to hear that the hike felt tougher than expected — the Fansipan trail can indeed be quite challenging, especially after rain when the path gets slippery and the temperature drops. Your feedback about pacing and food availability is very valuable, and we’ll make sure to remind future travelers to have breakfast or bring snacks before the hike, as well as to prepare properly for changing mountain weather. There are people can do this trk in a day but we completely agree that a 2-day trek is a great choice for those who prefer a more relaxed pace and time to enjoy the scenery. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience — your feedback helps us improve and ensures future hikers have the best possible adventure! Regards, Viet Old Quarter Travel
The guide managed to get everything sorted, permits etc in very short notice- less than a day. He spoke enough English and was well prepared with equipment , food etc

I recently experienced an unforgettable day trekking Mount Fansipan with this outstanding company. Their expert guide (Viet) and seamless organisation made the challenging hike both enjoyable and safe. The guide was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly supportive, ensuring we were well-prepared and motivated throughout. Their passion for the region's natural beauty and culture truly shone through. If you're looking for an exceptional trekking adventure in Vietnam, this company is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!
Thank you for such kind words, Amy! I am truly happy that you enjoyed your trip so much. I’ve worked hard to offer my customers the best services possible, and comments like this make it all worthwhile. If you’re ever visit Vietnam I’d love to serve you and your family again! Regards, Viet
Bao was a great guide in the sense he knew the way and warned us of any hazards along the route. However, and this isn't a criticism, but there wasn't much conversation to be had due to the language barrier. We can't complain as his English is far better than our Vietnamese. The weather wasn't great throughout meaning there were no views at the top which is obviously out of our hands. All I'd say on that, is it's a very tough climb so if you can, try and do it in the warmer months as we did it in Jan. Still great to reach the top after a slog of a climb and can't fault the guide company for communication beforehand and Bao's professionalism as a guide.

The trip up Fansipan was awesome. The guide and driver were prompt at pick up and coordination with the national park was seamless. The hike itself, guided by Sii, was great. He kept a manageable pace, portered up a delicious lunch, and kept a safe and fun atmosphere. I’d recommend highly. Stunning.

An amazing trip that was like absolutely no other experience I have ever had. I trekked through mud and mountains and got quite dirty, but it is exactly the kind of experience that makes you realise the true beauty of the local village people. View from the Fansipan Peak was just spectacular. I don't know how to say about it. Must try!
Dear Elana, Thank you very much for your review. I really appreciate you taking the time off to let me know how you feel about my service. I look forward to serving you again in the near future. Thank you again. Regards, Viet
The agent was prompt in organising the hike. It’s a tough hike especially in the rain, which started about one third into our journey. As expected, we couldn’t see much at the summit due to the rain and the fog. When coming down, it’s quite slippery. We made it back to the park entry just before it’s dark. The guide was very nice but doesn’t speak much English.
