The best jeep tour

I debated whether to take this tour as I have been on other jeep tours in Portugal only to be disappointed. I was pleased to be picked up at my hotel. Our driver and tour guide Gonçalo spoke perfect English. The west side tour was amazing. The change in elevation mountains to coastline was stunning. Gonçalo's recommendation for a seafood lunch was one of the finest meals I've ever had. All in all this tour was a highlight to my Madeira holiday.

A country is best discovered through the heart of someone who loves it. Thank you, Alexis, for sharing yours with us.

We had an excellent experience with Safarico, and our guide Alexis made the tour truly memorable. The tour was extremely informative, and Alexis was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about his country. His enthusiasm for sharing its history, culture, and beauty was evident throughout the entire experience. Alexis was also incredibly accommodating to our group, always ensuring that everyone was comfortable and able to enjoy the tour at their own pace. He went above and beyond to answer questions, provide local insights, and make the experience as enjoyable as possible. His pride in his country and his desire to showcase it in the best possible way made the tour both educational and enjoyable. We came away with a much deeper appreciation for the destination thanks to his expertise and passion. We highly recommend Safarico and especially Alexis to anyone looking for an authentic, enriching, and well-organized experience. Thank you for a fantastic day!

Awesome experience

If you are visiting Madeira, booking an all-day tour is an absolute must, and if you get Silva as your guide, you’ve hit the jackpot! Silva was incredible and so knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the island. The tour was perfectly planned alongside Silva’s teammates running other groups. Because they all communicated and synchronized their stops, we completely bypassed the usual crowds and had a much smoother, more relaxed day. As for the views, they were mind-blowing. Madeira’s landscapes are absolutely stunning, and we were treated to one breathtaking panorama after another, from the coastlines to the mountain peaks.

Picturesque West Mandeira! Bravo!!

The entire trip is very fulfilling and we're glad that we've a very good guide, Silva, with us. He drives safely too so we don't feel bumpy on the 4x4 at all. The itinerary is amazing and the view at each stop is simply breathtaking and stunning. The restaurant Silva recommended is very good. The local dish, scabbard fish with banana, is delicious. It's a pity that when we arrived at the Fanal Forest, due to the heavy fog, the visibility was so low and the ground was so muddy that we dare not to walk farther inside the forest to see the 800-year-old tree due to safety. Though, some fellow passenger could take a picture of a blurred one at a closer distance. Other than this imperfection, all the spots we went was simply unbeatable. Highly recommended!

Great West Side Trip

Our guide Silva was great, and a very careful driver. Luckily we were his only passengers so he could tailor the trip to our interests. We had great weather, and Silva took us to a great winery where we could drink some nice wines while looking out at the beautiful ocean (we're not rum/Poncha people), good lunch location, and if course the stops listed on the tour. The real highlight was the Fanal Forrest (and luckily we got a foggy day, which really showcase the trees). Silva was great at telling us about each location. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Awsome!

Highly recommend! It was one of my favorite guided tours ever! The guide was very nice and knowledgeable. He droved very well, the trips were well organized, and we had two amazing days full of adventures, beautiful sights, and unforgettable ponchas! What I really liked was that our guide wasn’t the typical kind who talks all day. He didn’t exhaust us; he talked about the things that really mattered. It was a pleasure to take these trips, especially at this time of year, when it wasn’t too crowded and we had really nice weather too! Recommand for everybody, regardless of age or headcount!

The Coleman-Jones family (UK)

Awesome day out with the family. Our guide Mateus was brilliant - very knowledgeable about the island and took us some cool local places as well as the major sites - the poncha bar was a big hit! Our two boys (12 and 9 years old) loved the whole tour and especially razzing it down the steep descents from the forest off road. Very grateful for some excellent road handling skills from Mateus here! 😄
