they picked us up at our air bnb and it was a wonderful experience. we saw all the major highlights on the 7pm tour where it was much cooler. the driver was very knowledgeable let us take time for photos, we even took time to run up the Spanish steps. we then asked him to drop us off at a local restaurant near our air bnb that he recommended. it was wonderful. this is definitely the way to see all the major places in Rome.
It is an often that you have a tour guide that is so friendly and warm and knowledgeable. Riding around Rome in a Vintage Ford golf cart was one of the best experiences we have ever had on vacation. We could go anywhere, see anything, and because the golf cart is so small, we could stop and really view the city. We chose to do the tour in the evening, to see what life and Rome was like after business hours. The town changes totally in the evening, and we enjoyed, especially watching the sunset. Adriana, are Driver and got Guide was easy to understand, full of suggestions and information, I was joyful to be with. We fully recommend this private tour. It was well worth the money.
INCREDIBLE!!!! That’s all I can say! Max was the driver, very informative, and very personable. He never rushed us, and shows us all the sites. HIGHLY recommend this tour, and ASK FOR MAX!
The perfect way to get a look at all of the key historical sites! Our guide was a local who had so much interesting information about the sites and the areas we rode through to get there! Truly worth every penny!
We had a fantastic golf cart tour of Rome with Max! He was knowledgeable, energetic, kind, and brought the city’s history and landmarks to life with interesting facts and stories along the way. He also helped our group capture great photos and knew all the best picture spots. This tour was perfect for our multigenerational family, from a toddler to older adults. The golf cart was equipped with seat belts and weather protection, making it comfortable and safe. While the ride can be a bit bumpy, it’s by far one of the best ways to see a large number of Rome’s highlights in a short amount of time. A few tips: confirm the meeting point the day before, wear comfortable walking shoes since some stops require a short walk, and be punctual at both the start and each stop so the tour stays on schedule. We also appreciated the flexibility to skip a few sights when we were short on time. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. We would gladly book again!
We had a great time seeing a lot in a few hours. We only had a small amount of time as we were in Rome for a wedding. Isaac was our tour guide and he was very personable. He answered all our questions and accommodated our skipping the Vatican ( we had seen that). We even stopped for a gelato! He recommended a great place to have lunch and we ended the tour at his recommendation!
Andrew was extremely knowledgeable. Gave us a lot of history we didn’t know. Very pleasant young man.
Such a great way to cover a lot of the city. Only down side is we had two cars, only one of the guides spoke English, despite booking an English tour. So half the party missed out on a lot.
Viator canceled at the last minute, actually 5 min after start time. No explanation, just an email that my money was refunded infull. I will wait and see.
It was outrageously overpriced and the young man ( nice guy but a college student) seemed to us to be standing in for someone. He was 1 hour late and essentially drove us to the sites and that was it. We should have been given some sort of refund. And the cart itself was small - it should have been the 6 passenger cart we saw all over Rome.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations. First of all, we apologize for the delay at the start of the tour. Even when circumstances beyond our control arise, we understand that your vacation time is valuable and that any delay can be frustrating. Regarding the vehicle, we would like to clarify that your group consisted of four guests, and the golf cart provided was fully compliant with the tour description and suitable for the group size. We understand that during your visit to Rome you may have seen larger 6- or 8-passenger carts operating around the city, and we appreciate that you might have preferred a larger vehicle. However, the size of the cart used for your tour was not smaller than what was advertised for the experience and did not affect the itinerary or the comfort standards we aim to provide. We are also sorry that the guiding style did not match your expectations. The guide assigned to your tour is part of our team and was not a substitute driver. While we always strive to provide engaging commentary and accurate information, we regret that you felt the experience was focused more on transportation between sites than on storytelling and historical explanations. At the same time, we do not believe that the circumstances described warrant a refund, as the tour was completed in full and all scheduled locations were visited. Nevertheless, we take your comments seriously and will use them to further improve our service and guide training. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.
