A legacy founded in 1849 From a bold adventure across the seas to ongoing innovation in sustainable winemaking, our story is one of pioneering and passion. Yalumba operates the Southern Hemisphere’s only fully operational Cooperage, crafting bespoke oak barrels that elevate the wines aged within them. You will start the day seeing our coopers at work.
9.30 we leave Yalumba where you are fitted to an electric Bike & ride along the The Barossa Cycle Trail through the Vineyards to the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company for a Hot Chocolate or (Coffee) & Cake then you can sample some of the most delicious chocolate sourced responsibly from the Daintree, Belgium and beyond.
Artisans of Barossa Rarities tasting Take a seat in our lounge and taste six wines from our full tasting list including our Rarities selections. To be an ‘artisan’ is very much about setting your own path driven by a human desire to explore, experiment and to express ourselves. To create and share things shaped in our mind and made by our own hands for the enjoyment of others. Often proffered with a simple “I made this, please enjoy”. A tinge of pride yes, but hubris never. In just 20 years, the ranks of great Barossa winemakers have swelled as many new names have joined those of the establishment. Collectively, the Barossa’s name shines brighter than ever, with its best wines sitting comfortably on the lists of the finest, rarest and most collectable.
Join us for a sit down tasting of our Barossa Cheese range paired to seasonal condiments. Our team will prepare your tasting plate with a set selection from the Barossa Cheese (in-house made) cheese range.
Yalumba Estate Picnic for 2. Join a Wine Ambassador for a private Best of Barossa tasting and learn about our Distinguished Sites wines. After your tasting choose one of these wines to have as your wine with lunch (valued up to $50). You will then receive a precinct map, a brief tour or the grounds and guidance from staff as to where you will be able to enjoy your local produce picnic for 2. There are a number of locations to choose from, grab a picnic rug, bean bag and even some lawn games if you choose*. This picnic pack is made for 2 people to share, so bring a friend and enjoy this unique opportunity to taste our incredible wines and enjoy our world famous grounds together. *Weather dependent. Alternative location is in our private Family Tasting Room.

We had the time of our lives on our 7 day long Australian Food & Wine Tour with Bike About. Dan's communication was exceptional from the get go, he even helped us plan our time in Adelaide pre/post our tour! Matt our tour guide was super knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to spend out holiday with. He's also a whizz on bikes and when we had a puncture, he had it fixed in a jiffy! Our itinerary was a great combination of city, sea, forest and of course amazing winery's! Our personal favourite was Hahndorf the German town it was fantastic filled with pretzels, steins, cute shops and beautiful wineries close by. We had a great mix of group time in a lovely group but also some independent time in the evenings with lots of great recommendations. Thanks again guys! :)

We had a fabulous time riding around The Barossa with Jack- who was very informative and a great guy. The riding was fairly easy and I’m a newby on an e-bike. 👍 We’ve been to the Barossa quite a few times before- but it was fabulous to experience everything from this perspective and to try new wineries and food experiences. I would definitely recommend this activity. Thanks for a terrific day. 👍😀😀

My girlfriends and I did the 7 day experience and we had an absolute ball. We are already planning our next trip. The bikes are great, the itineraries well thought out and there's lots of time to choose your own adventure.I highly recommend this fantastic family-run company.

A fabulous tour from beginning to end! Such a well planned out itinerary, with a leisurely start to the day and following through the rest of the day. Bikes are very easy to ride and our host Dan couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend this tour!

Great week through the McLaren Vale & Barossa. Beautiful wines, cheese, beer & gins. A few hills but worth the scenery. Dan was helpful and had a lot of local knowledge. Accommodation each night was great & the bikes were good. I am looking to book our family in next year. Highly recommended 👌

5 star experience ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ We were not sure what to expect but it was fabulous, we are not the fittest people in the world but we loved the EBikes and found it fun and exciting. Dan was a great tour guide and he has selected the best of the best for us to see and experience. Every day was an adventure, we can’t wait to do another one! If you are considering doing this, just book it. 🚲
