Itinerary
We start our tour from Santa Marina Salina, the lively main port and one of the most charming villages on the island. Strolling through its characteristic cobbled streets, we will admire the traditional brightly coloured Aeolian houses, with blossoming bougainvillea framing the typical doors and windows. Here we will discover the history of Salina, once a commercial hub fundamental for the transport of Malvasia wine and sea salt, from which the island takes its name. We will also visit the picturesque Church of Santa Marina, with its iconic bell tower overlooking the seafront.

A wonderful informative and extremely enjoyable tour of Salina. Giuseppe was passionate about the island , its culture and produce. What a fantastic tour we had today. Giuseppe was the best guide who explained so much to us about Salina - the capers but also so much more about fruits and wine. The tasting was so delicious and substantial. It was such a great day in Salina - a beautiful place to visit and I recommend you fit this in to your day.
This is the perfect tour to do on your first day in Salina. Friendly, knowledgeable Giuseppe will pick you up in his car and drive you to all the main points on the island while sharing lots of information. He suggested places to eat and we tried the island’s amazing granita as well as having an authentic lunch experience with local specialities. Special gluten free products were provided for me after I’d let him know in advance. Highly recommended.
The highlight of our trip to the Aeolian islands. Salina is beautiful, colourful and super relaxed. Giuseppe does it justice and more. A lovely guy with fascinating knowledge about the island. We had a private tour Giuseppe was an incredible host and loved to share his intimate knowledge of the island, the caper and wine tasting was great and the final sunset was spectacular, the tour is totally relaxed with Giuseppe working with what you want to spend more time on.
