The Real Everglades Eco Tour Is Back! Starting June 16, 2026, experience one of the most authentic Everglades adventures from Miami. Travel in a licensed Mercedes Sprinter (max. 14 guests) with live commentary from your multilingual guide about Miami, the Miccosukee Tribe, and the Everglades ecosystem. Unlike crowded tourist parks, you'll board a small semi-private airboat reserved for our group. Enjoy a 1 to 1 hour 20 minute ride through remote wetlands, sawgrass prairies, and wildlife-rich areas rarely seen by most visitors. Headsets are provided. Visit two private tree islands accessible only by airboat. Meet rescued baby alligators and turtles on one island, then explore a historic Miccosukee family camp on the other, where you may spot the famous "Mama Gator." The tour also includes a stop at the Miccosukee Service Plaza for snacks, souvenirs, and restrooms. Duration: 4.5–5 hours Hotel pickup included. Routes and wildlife sightings may vary due to weather and water levels.

After pickup from your hotel, you'll begin the scenic drive west toward the Everglades. Along the way, your certified driver-guide will provide live commentary in the language of your choice, sharing insights about Miami, the history of South Florida, the Miccosukee Tribe, and the unique Everglades ecosystem you are about to explore. Relax aboard a comfortable, licensed Mercedes Sprinter or Chevrolet Suburban with complimentary bottled water as you travel from the city to one of America's most remarkable natural environments.
Upon arrival inside the Miccosukee Indian Reservation, you'll be welcomed at a family-run airboat base, far from the crowded tourist parks. Here begins the highlight of your adventure: in most cases, your group will enjoy a semi-private airboat ride lasting approximately 1 to 1 hour 20 minutes, reserved exclusively for our guests. Board a small open-air airboat with elevated seating and glide through pristine wetlands, sawgrass prairies, cypress forests, and mangrove corridors. Watch for alligators, turtles, and colorful native birds along the way. The experience includes stops at two private tree islands (hammocks). The first is home to rescued alligators and turtles cared for by the community. The second, once a Miccosukee family village, now serves as a cultural and educational site. Here you may spot the famous "Papa Alligator" or "Mama Alligator" and enjoy a short walk along a wooden boardwalk.
Before returning to Miami, we'll stop at the modern Miccosukee Service Plaza, where you'll have time to browse local souvenirs, purchase snacks and drinks, or use the restrooms. The experience concludes with a brief scenic drive through the Miccosukee Indian Reservation, offering a glimpse into the community and its unique Everglades surroundings.
Following the tour, enjoy convenient drop-off at your hotel or any location of your choice in Downtown Miami or Miami Beach.

We first found Max to transport 16 of us from Miami International to our hotel downtown prior to our cruise. That pick up and ride were fabulous. 11 were in a luxury van; 5 in a luxury SUV. They told us about the city and pointed out landmarks along the way. We also used Max at the end of the trip to kill 8 hours between disembarkation and our flight. They took us on the airboat tour (which was out of this world), stayed with us since we had all of our luggage, and we had some spare time so stopped in Little Havana for lunch on our way to our 4:40 flight out of Fort Lauderdale. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Pickup was right on time and the van was pleasant as was our driver. We had to wait a fair bit longer for the boat tour to begin than I expected however. The tour itself was lovely; many different birds and alligators to see and beautiful views of the Everglades

We participated in the excursion to the Everglades with Max in May 2026. In September 2025, my sister and my mother had already taken the excursion with Max. At that moment, the Indian village was open as well as their land. This time, due to the drought, there was no water left in this region. However, thanks to Max's great professionalism, we went to another area of the Everglades to maximize our chances of seeing alligators (we saw 5!). I recommend Max 100%. First, he comes to pick you up at your home; the transportation is pleasant and in French. Max always provides us with snacks, bottles of water, as well as helmets and mosquito spray. Max also precisely presents the nature and history of the Everglades and Miami. The excursion is simply royal! Thank you, Max. We will return.

Very good experience and above all, I want to thank our private driver Ernesto!! He was the heart of our satisfaction from beginning to end. Very good tour in the everglades, the Indian village was closed, it would have been interesting to consider an alternative rather than the return but other than that, very good tour and I recommend to take it Private so much the experience is more pleasant (to everyone's tastes lol).

Max picked us up from our cruise ship port in Miami in his luxury van. We went to an Everglades tour (which was amazing), and then he drove us to the Miami airport. While driving, we requested to go to a specific gas station, and Max very graciously accommodated us. 10/10!!

What can we say - from the minute it started till the minute it ended it was great. The transport turned up right on time, new clean bus with an excellent driver (Max) who could speak so, so many languages. A pleasant drive out to the Everglades with a great commentary given by the driver throughout (in languages for everyone). Once we arrived the Air Boat guide (Tristan) was absolutely fantastic too, taking his time to explain everything to us, showing us many alligators as we made our way between a couple of different islands - giving us to opportunity to get up close to some baby alligators and alligator snapping turtles (not too close to them). The boat ride was great with lots to see. The boat was great, not too big and the seating allowed all persons on board to see everything there was to see. All in all one of the best tours we have been on, we thoroughly recommend this to everyone.

Fantastic tour, hotel pickup on time, small group max 14 pax in Italian, as requested. On the way Max gave us a lot of info about Miami and the origin of the Everglades. Arrived at the destination, at a small Indian reality, we boarded the hovercraft run by a wonderful guy, I apologize for not remembering the name, and as described at the time of booking we made 2 stops. Along the way we were able to see several alligators. Congratulations to Max, for driving, I suffer from car sickness, with him driving I had no problem; for sympathy, for professionalism ' Thanks to Tour Max for the organization

This small group tour by Max allows you unique experiences like seeing islands and actual homes inside the Everglades. Asdie from the fun airboat ride. But more on Max - our flight to Miami delayed due to Christmas rush. Would have forfeited tour. Messaged Max, and he allowed to reschedule. Lost no money and had a wonderful tour of the Everglades.
