Where do I even start! This was an amazing experience. The town on the way there was gorgeous, the guide was very knowledgeable and kind, the wine was absolutely lovely, the food was incredible, and the staff was so sweet and helpful! If I could give my stars I would. 100/10
On our way back to the hotel after hiking the north side of Mount Etna, my husband and I stumbled upon this incredible winery—and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The setting was peaceful and picturesque, with stunning views all around, and we were welcomed with such genuine warmth. I sampled both of the white wines, and they were exceptional, but the one grown in the volcanic soil truly stood out. It was unlike anything I’ve tasted—easily among the best wines I’ve ever had. Thank you for your hospitality and for sharing such a special place with us. It was an unforgettable experience.
Beautiful young estate but with historical origins, thanks to Luca and his explanation we appreciated the care, order and cleanliness that you breathe arriving. Walking through the young vineyards built near a lava flow you remember where we come from, what we Sicilians sometimes take for granted is pure poetry for tourists. We should just appreciate it first. Congratulations for the excellent wines and the combinations of cold cuts and cheeses. Mushroom lasagna top! We will be back to make more experiences with you soon.

Overall experience was great. The grounds are amazing, you can sit outside with views of etna and of the bay. Would highly recommend everyone to stop. Also super easy to work with on getting a case of wine shipped back to Chicago, IL

This is not a proper wine tour and we felt totally ripped off. We did not see any vineyards. All we saw were some vegetable patches growing marrows and tomatoes. The staff’s English is poor so their wine explanations are incomprehensible. On arrival we were immediately sat at a very large table indoors and served 5 wines with some breads & antipasti. That was it! We would have been better off just going to a local bar at half the price. I think they just buy in their wines from local producers. They don’t produce any.

At Favazza Etna Winery we do not run a “bar service”: every tasting is designed as an immersive journey through rare wines of small family producers from the Etna area. We do not sell supermarket or mass-market bottles, but select authentic micro-labels that are usually not available outside the region. Our tastings always include curated food pairings with products from our organic garden and local artisans. We would also like to clarify that we are not a commercial vineyard estate with hectares of vines to walk through. Our philosophy is different: we showcase the work of many small growers rather than a single estate, and this is what makes the experience unique and diverse. As for the language barrier, our sommeliers do their best to host international guests; however, we acknowledge that sometimes explanations may not be as fluid as desired, and we are working on improving this aspect with additional language support. If your review comes from a misunderstanding, we are sorry. But we cannot accept descriptions that misrepresent our work. Extremely friendly welcome, very nice surroundings, beautiful shop, nice restaurant, but especially very nice wines with lots of explanations about the grapes and the production. Tasty snacks alongside the wine, many from our own cultivation.
