A fabulous tour to capture Bruges!

What a fabulous tour with Andy! We started our tour at the red door right in the central part of Bruges. Instructions were very clear and it was very easy to find Andy to start our experience. Andy he was very personable and made us feel welcome and excited about learning more about photography. He took us to some really unique places and allowed us to unleash some of our creativity (when three of the four of us were not avid photographers). We loved hearing about the history about Bruges as an added bonus. This made it a very special experience. Thank you Andy for a great afternoon and we will recommend this tour to any of our friends that are coming to Bruges. On a sidenote, we ran into Andy later and got to meet his lovely wife! Serendipity!

Best tour in Brugge!

I've taken three private tours with Andy at Photo Tour Brugge over the years. Each time, Andy went above and beyond to make the tour a phenomenal experience. He has always taken took into account my experience level each time, my goals, and my equipment. From the first tour (where he focused on helping me learn the basics of using a mirrorless system) to my most recent tour with him (where he helped me with composition and 'story telling'), he's been wonderful and fun to work with. I appreciate how he takes the time to listen to my questions and goals (including as they change during the tour) and adapt accordingly. I highly recommend doing a photo tour with Photo Tour Brugge!

A great way to explore and photograph Brugge

My husband and I really enjoyed our photo tour with Andy. Andy was knowledgeable, friendly, and relaxed. He introduced me to exposure bracketing (which I utilized throughout the remaining 4 weeks of our time in Europe). The inspiration/example photos were a really helpful starting point to photograph a very beautiful part of the world.

Capturing the Moment

We loved this tour! Andy guided us through a walking tour of the beautiful city of Brugge and taught us how to frame and capture photos in ways that we had never imagined. He also showed us some of his own examples, which are amazing! What was most special to me, was that he helped me coordinate a surprise proposal to my girlfriend of 8 years at the Jan Van Eyckplien! I really really appreciated his willingness to help me make it special for my (now) fiancee and I! He helped us capture this special moment, which we will cherish forever!

Invaluable experience

Andy McSweeny’s Brugge Phototour was one of the highlights of our European vacation. He took us to some sections of Brugge we had seen before but helped me, a novice photographer, see them through a professional’s eyes. Andy’s engaging, outgoing manner, his critiques of my photos and recommendations, along with the incomparable beauty of Brugge, made our last day in the city the most memorable one. I’ll be back next year, picking Andy’s brain with more questions and I know he will enjoy answering them.
